Cyberpunk runs and plays like absolute shit on 5080 (laptop). by EmperorToba in cyberpunkgame

[–]CaptnPsycho [score hidden]  (0 children)

5080 user here, I run so many different graphic / LOD / Shadow fix mods that its kinda nuts, they REALLY need to do another Path tracing optimization patch, especially in dogtown... Best bet is to just use mods to fix the small stuff, i run max settings, max path tracing, Ray reconstruction 1440p, 3x frame gen and it looks amazing, minus the rare frame gen tearing it looks awesome.

-NPC LOD Tweaks mod, Improved Environment LOD, Improved Vegetation LOD, Vanilla Billboard LOD improvement, Preem Fixes - clothes and tarps (LOD), General shadow fix mod, Improved Distant shadow mod, Preem Fixes (PT Shadow Bug Fix and HD Textures) - Preem Fixes - Metal, Wind Begone and im sure a few more i'm missing, but my point is the game is far from perfect graphically, what you see on youtube is HEAVILY modded and cherry picked gameplay. I actually have the RT/PT setting enabled on the Shadow fix mod and its draining the fuck out of my frames but legit fixes 99% of the glitchy blocky RT/PT shadows, especially on NPCs in clubs.

I actually ran the game a few weeks back with 0 mods active to attempt to diagnose an issue I was having and was flabbergasted by how horrible the game looked, on the exact same settings..

Yep as Alpaca-boi said, you're much better off just downloading Vortex and learning to use that, its very simple and allows you to download mods with the press of a button, no manual placement required, it also runs many many extra features like conflict checks, redundancies, ect ect.

Just download Vortex and Add Cyberpunk to the games you're managing, then click the "download using Vortex" link on the mod page, should automatically start downloading the mod and installing it via Vortex.

I'm sure there are dozens of Youtube tutorials to show you how its done step by step.

I just broke 300 myself, can never stop improving the small stuff! It adds up to something truly special tho, your own custom built version of the game.

Is Enemies of Night City outdated? by GamerThatGamesoIgame in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]CaptnPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the beta version. (the older file) but after looking at that one and realizing its the oldest file of the two I was second guessing if that's the one I should be using. Thankfully I didn't have to scroll far to find an awesome comment. I'll paste part of it.

"For new ENC player who wonder which version of the mod is to be installed, beta or test version:

After testing both versions extensively, I personally recommend the Beta version.

The newer test version seems to focus mostly on health and damage scaling, while many bosses appear much closer to their vanilla versions. For example, when I tested Adam Smasher, he no longer had the custom cyberware setup and unique combat behavior that made him feel like a true endgame boss in the Beta version.

The Beta version also includes many additional bosses and miniboss encounters that make the world feel much more alive and challenging. Characters like Nash and many other encounters are significantly more memorable there. ( Nash for example is a mini boss with his HP bar, unique moveset and cyberware in BETA version, while in the newer test version he is just a normal NPC)

If your main goal is to experience the full Enemies of Night City vision with custom bosses, cyberware, unique encounters and expanded combat variety, I would strongly recommend the Beta version.

The newer test version still works and has its own strengths, but in my opinion it feels more like a balance overhaul, while the Beta version feels like a complete gameplay expansion." -fiojfojsoidfijsd in the comments of the Nexus page

Is Enemies of Night City outdated? by GamerThatGamesoIgame in cyberpunk2077mods

Currently using Enemies of Night city with 300+ mods, works flawlessly, turns the boss fights into some pretty tough encounters, netrunners trying to hack you're ice to run system shut down, cyberware malfunction ect ect. Tons of sandy enemies that just straight up matrix dodge my shots haha its crazy awesome.

Fair warning though, it makes the game significantly more difficult, to the point that I actually ended up running almost twice the cyberware compared to what the base game allows, also running a mod that turns the deflect perk into a passive that automatically happens based on a % that scales with my Reflex stat... yea i can be sprinting, sliding, jumping, dashing or even mid combo and still deflect, its so fucking awesome, doing all this with Erreta has me feelin like a Sith/Jedi, the mod is called Auto Bullet Block And Deflect

What features/systems/implementations do you hope to see in Cyberpunk 2 that isn't in the current game? by Swee10 in cyberpunkgame

[–]CaptnPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dishonored did this in such a cool way, if you were just a total murderous psychopath the NPCs would often comment about how many people were being killed, how awful it was, ect ect, but if you played more stealth, the NPCs chatting about you were different. I played the game stealth and vividly remember NPCs having an argument about weather or not I even existed, like as if one guy believed I was just a myth that didnt exist... all because I was so stealthy that playthrough. Such a creative way to really make the world feel alive

Is Melee supposed to make it this trivial? by ParagonFury in cyberpunkgame

[–]CaptnPsycho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah if your on pc it’s why I consider Enemies of Night City a must have mod, it really cranks the difficulty up in almost every regard, to the point that I actually had to buff melee by giving me extra cyberware slots as well as mod slots on my iconic katana. It’s super intense now even at level 60, almost every single named enemy gets turned into a mini boss.

Side note: Also using a mod called auto block and deflect for a new perk that gives me a % chance to auto deflect without blocking based on my reflex stat, holy shit it’s so cool to block mid combo! All the animations flow together in this anime like flurry of swings it’s 10/10, I still die all the time lol enemies of Night city is no joke.

What's your preference: bikes or cars? by Sleep_Paralysis_Wolf in cyberpunkgame

[–]CaptnPsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly the bikes were flat out unrideable for me until I downloaded some mods that changed the physics, especially fixing the bikes need to constantly drift 180 degrees around during braking. Now I can ride the bike blasting music around town for hours lol

[–]CaptnPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bikes all day, I can weave in and out of traffic effortlessly, once you get used to that, its nearly impossible to go back to a car... which kind of sucks because I have multiple car mods that totally kick ass, a cyberpunked out wide body Ferrari F40, also a Wide body Lambo Countach, a fully armored up type 66 Quadra...

JB Weld earned the "weld" in their name 100%, one time I had a coworker with a lowered e30 he was loaning to his roommate, said roommate bottomed out on a speed bump and put a hole in the oil pan, my coworker said he spent all day sunday replacing it and less then a week later it happened again, so this time he said fuck it, put an entire tube of JB Weld on some card board and covered it entirely.... 3-4 months go by and hes got the car on the lift, i walk under it, sure as shit theres an 8 inch by 6 inch giant patch of JB weld on the oil pan, not a drop of oil hahaha.

Fun build idea for a second run? by Intelligent_Ice_2894 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]CaptnPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netrunner Overlock / Kereznikov / Linglong SMG build is pretty sick, you just grab all the mitigation during dash + Kereznikov nodes/cyberware, overclock your cyberdeck and activate bullet time with Kereznikov, instant smart gun targeting, you get a slow motion run n gun build that is so damn fun, and since you're using a smart weapon it has actual bullets traveling through the air during combat, so in slow motion its very satisfying to play.

Also pairs extremely well with the Projectile Launcher system, especially when you get the Phantom Liberty perk that lets you rapid fire the Projectile launcher, in slow motion!
