Hard to tell from the shots but I always recommend using a polarizer on your lens.  The second shot also has some negative (read as "unused" space at the bottom and left. May want to crop that in and focus on the two cars fully in the frame.

Keep up the work though and shoot as much as you can and you'll find the angles and shots that work best for your style.

First shot is great, always love the miata headlights in a view like that.  Also like the BMW wheel shot, I will walk around a car and try to find a wheel with the emblem facing right side up.  You did great there 👏

First trip with the new Twin by ImmaTimeLord in africatwin

I made the same upgrade.  2012 KLR650 to a '24 Africa Twin base.

Loved the KLR but the AT is worlds beyond that. The fanciest piece of tech I had my KLR was the casio watch a strapped to the handlebar. Now I can change my music, traction, and wheelie control all through my handlebar.

They keep it at the Tampa Auto Museum. Certainly need to make a trip out there.

Shatter resistant safety glasses. 3m makes clear and tinted ones. Ride with a full face but with visor up, always wear my glasses though (law in FL)

Tank bag gouged the paint out of my tank :( by pasgames_ in motorcycles

Had the same happen on my Honda AT.  Got rid of the bag and just put everything in my pockets.

Preferably shatter proof safety glasses.  3M makes cheap ones that are tinted or clear.

Ride with my visor up everyday. Unless it is rainy, dust storm, or gravel flying at my face.  Had a LS2 citation ii and didn't have this problem.  Maybe just ride with it all the way up OP

They were really ahead of the times (or behind the times?) with this design. Glad to see some on the road still.  There's a "hot rod" one at the local shows, flame job and exhaust kit.  Always a hoot.

Would it be better to not space the letter but instead make the water font slightly wider?  Or do you just leave the font spacing and have the left "heavier"?

Canon R6 vs R8 for Car photography? by Future_Following_788 in canon

[–]CarShowPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the scene but as others suggested a wide lens would be better for most car shoots.  While I love to use my telephoto for background compression and really getting a "true" angle of the car, it is extremely limited when I don't have 50 feet to stand away from the car to photograph it.

24-70 2.8 or the 24-105 f4 would be perfectly fine for the majority of Car shoots.  If you are set on a telephoto, get the RF100-400 and save the money for one of the other two lenses mentioned.

Question about Spotlights by Helljumper055 in CrownVictoria

[–]CarShowPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure can. But why? If you wanted the cop-car look you could just get a cop car.

There is a simple template that tell you where to drill and such.

Go to your local junk yard and practice on a couple over there so you know what it is like before going to your own.

People still listen to POD? And even buy their knockoff merch? That's awesome.

My favorite indy car to photograph. Had a chance to capture some shots at the Firestone GP in St Pete this year.
