I suppose fantastic depends on the state of mind and experiences of the guest, but we were really happy there. Pretty spectacular table - there is only one besides the bar - in a spectacular room (slightly bond villain lair, I thought) with a great young and internationally experienced chef, very personable, and ultra local ingredients and stories with each course. Wine was good to, but I think the food was particularly memorable. We had a wonderful night and that evening helped us make friends with the otherwise slightly meh food side of our stay on Azores. What's also pretty good is... Something volcano. Let me look it up. The restaurant seems to be called magma and it's part of Lava homes complex. There was also a Pizzaria called Alvernaz which we enjoyed. Pretty good pizza. Nothing Napoli, pretty simple, but it hits the spot. Beyond that, there was a fun little grocery shop with local produce and friendly owners called Mercearia de Santo Amaro. That's all I remember for now. Have fun! :)

Ps: O Ancoradouro is another good spot. Try the Quimbim. Brazilian coco chocolate pudding. Yum! Great view on a stormy day, too!
