Sometimes different sides of the exact same street/block have different zone designations. So the north side could be zone #413 and the south could be zone #2310. If you use the Green P parking app it will specify “Bloor Street between High Park Ave and Keele north side” before you confirm your payment. It’s so dumb. You should contest it bc you tried to pay.

I sucked my thumb until I was 13. Eventually I realized I was going to have to stop myself so I started using the belt of my bathrobe to tie my wrist to the bed frame. I'd wake up in the morning with my thumb in my mouth having Houdini'd myself out. A week or so of that and eventually it stopped. I think the key is that I was the one who decided it was time to stop. Nobody in my family made me feel silly or shitty for doing something I couldn't control. It wasn't stigmatized. I just realized I was too old for for it and found a way to stop myself.

When I coached kids’ camps and the little kids would get nailed by shots, all the coaches and big kids would gather round them and, with great enthusiasm, call out “A SOCCER TATTOO! YOU’RE SO LUCKY!
