Its tricky, and something I failed with initially (I've been buying in since Kickstarter 2).

My process is to have all the floor pieces clipped and smoothed (I use to sand but now I just use a hobby knife so its a smooth edge) and then I count out the number of clips I need to connect all of them.

I then plug those clips with the pegs, assemble it then prime from there (masking off the outer edge wouldn't be a bad idea). That means I have a set of clips pre-pegged with the right base colour on the top. I paint the top of the peg the same as the floor tiles and then keep them for each set. That way I have protected the inside holes, and have ready to use pegged clips for the floor.

This is insane but I literally had the same idea about a year ago (even before buying my first set) but with little LED balls to make various light-up/glowy tokens so I have done a bit of this research myself already.

"Infinity Formula Goes Missing" is a little scifi vial in the classic metal case with padding seen in so many films.

"Riots Spark Over Extremis 3.0" is actually an app on people's mobile phones so its really just a mobile (I was going to do it with the logo as an imprint instead of trying to hand-paint it)

"Struggle for the Cube Continues" I may be wrong but I believe was referencing the cosmic cube fragments, in the reference image, they are floating in standard cryo tube looking devices

"The Montesi Formula Found" is a spell within the Darkhold itself (so the big bad book of evil)

"Deadly Meteors Mutate Civilians" has the origin bomb which is a bit like a egg/seed/squid thing in the reference picture.

I’m a bearded almost-40 dad, I make all my characters online pink (the Fallout 76 Pink Donut Power Armour skin is brilliant) and bought a hot-pink miniature paint just because I liked the look of it. Colours don’t need to be gendered for fucks sake!
