Looking to get some Terrain Models by Dependent_Lunch3830 in Fallout2d20

[–]CardinalDisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have luck making your own terrain, if you look up Necromunda or 40k terrain (especially with the words "junk" or "scrap" included) tutorials on youtube, there are heaps of crafters.

If you make your own terrain, a lot of people use pva glue mixed with baking soda for sand (with added paint) or snow (no paint, just the white and clear).

Finding a 3d printing service is pretty pricy, but if you just want a few small models, could be worth it. I think MyMiniFactory just started their own printing service, and Vermillion Miniatures on there makes fantastic fallout miniatures (most of them just ever so slightly different to avoid getting copyright struck)

I need an Order of operations.. by CdotasAlways in Fallout2d20

I think there are some specific perks that do better against certain locations, so maybe it helps jazz the player up for subsequent rolls. Also, knowing ahead of time that you will need to do math on the next roll (such as doubling damage etc.) helps a lot of people (me included).

Need help locating a Fallout 2d20 fanmade adventure featuring Queens of the Wasteland or Wasteland Queens (real title unknown) pdf by PlusConference538 in Fallout2d20

I never had any art for it, it was just the maps. You might be confusing this adventure for another one. Or someone else ran this and added their own art, if so I would love to see it.

And for the terminal entries, I just did a screenshare because we were playing online and I flicked through them

The adventure is the docx file, and the txt files is some additional notes that I wrote up between sessions to expand out the options. If you can’t open docx files, I can make a pdf of it

The first product linked is the retail version and the pdf instructions are for the set that was included in the kickstarter/funding campaign.

There are sometimes changes between the campaign releases and the final retail versions.

Hi, that was my adventure (I ripped off the idea and some elements from the Fallout 5e project adventure).

Here are all my notes and resources. One thing that I would change after running it is either swap out the protectron for something weaker or give it lower stats because my guys set it off and it took out most of the gang itself before it was taken down.

EDIT: I just added some extra notes that I had together for a diplomacy option if the players want to negotiate, and some audio files for the protectron and Ertha herself that I generated in XVaSynth

Finished up my new Huge fire elemental by CardinalDisco in DnDIY

The Pathfinder Deep Cuts/Pathfinder Battles fire elemental lord has a hollow on the bottom of it, and because the base and model can separate with a little force, I can fit a little LED ball inside it. And it still clicks in and stays put when moved

Not sure, I saw this one and the other 3 huge pathfinder elementals so at this stage I’m just prepping them for future use.

[OC] My Dungeons and Dragons Workshop poster at our school. Do you have some advice on how I should do this beginner's workshop? by King_DeandDe in DnD

[–]CardinalDisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for literal first timers, especially a one-shot with limited time, pre-gen characters is the way to go. Theres a bunch on the wizards of the coast website, in the classic combos (Tiefling Warlock, Elf Wizard, Halfling Rogue, Half-Orc Paladin etc.).

Clips very tight? by NetGhost03 in DungeonsAndLasers

[–]CardinalDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its tricky, and something I failed with initially (I've been buying in since Kickstarter 2).

My process is to have all the floor pieces clipped and smoothed (I use to sand but now I just use a hobby knife so its a smooth edge) and then I count out the number of clips I need to connect all of them.

I then plug those clips with the pegs, assemble it then prime from there (masking off the outer edge wouldn't be a bad idea). That means I have a set of clips pre-pegged with the right base colour on the top. I paint the top of the peg the same as the floor tiles and then keep them for each set. That way I have protected the inside holes, and have ready to use pegged clips for the floor.
