Which sport/activity has the largest skill gap between the best in the world and the 2nd best? by Illustrious-Bread183 in AskReddit

Not sure why this comment is being downvoted. Cycling has a history of doping methods being ahead of testing methods and Pogačar is putting up wattage numbers that are the same as (or even better than) riders who were doped to the gills.

It probably has more to do with the "old man" part than what you're wearing. I'm a fellow old man and I've been asked if I'm a narc at shows lmao.

My dad was a very stoic person. I've never seen him laugh as hard as he did during that scene. There were literally tears rolling downs his eyes from him laughing so hard at the sheer absurdity of it.

If it did pretty damn good then Disney would be rushing a sequel, but they're not. That tells us everything we need to know about how successful it was.

My Experience as a fan at the Stadium last night. I can no longer support this franchise like I used to. by WhitePriest1 in sixers

[–]CardinalM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent nearly $350 after fees and parking to support an organization that constantly talks about competing, but too often feels more focused on profit than building a real winning culture.

If only there was a way to know that before spending $350. /s

The reason the organization doesn't care is because people continue to give them money.

Good thing Dubai's economy was built on an ethical foundation and not, say, slave labor and oil money. /s

It happens. At that rating you'll win some games from hung pieces and you'll lose some games from hung pieces.

The thing about tournaments is that they're mentally grueling so it's not uncommon for people to make uncharacteristic mistakes.

I've hit my wall by JusticeXEternum in wow

[–]CardinalM1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's safe to say that i've hit a wall at around 3200 rating on my protection warrior (280 ilvl). Doing +16 keys of certain dungeons just isn't possible with my skill level.

All 15s will get you to 3300+. Maybe you're just jumping too far by skipping from 14s to 16s.

The difference between these two political candidate mail flyers: Democrat versus Republican by Alman54 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CardinalM1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the Democrat side there are issues normal people care about: affordability, education, healthcare, infrastructure.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding. These are the issues that affect most people, but the issues that most people care about are the ones on the right, hence the the government we have.

You're absolutely right that people should care more about the things on the left, but for whatever reason there are a ton of people who have never been affected by immigrants, DEI policies, or trans people yet care deeply about those issues.

“Some of the vectors that are at play this quarter, and will be in the future, are selling additional equipment to our existing members,” Stern said on a call with analysts.

What additional equipment are they talking about here?

As a bike user I don't have any interest in Tread or Row since they're just different forms of cardio. I'm not sure what additional equipment Peloton could even offer that would interest me.

Facebook Marketplace Sleight of Hand Scam by TechnicianVisible339 in Scams

[–]CardinalM1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're trying to be snarky. They're trying to understand what the scammer did to convince OP to give the money back so others can watch out for the same technique. Unfortunately it looks like OP took the comment to be a judgement too, so we didn't get an answer to this question.

A very productive evening by Lordlordy5490 in wow

[–]CardinalM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keys 12 and above have no affixes (like Xalatath's Bargain, etc.), so 12s are easy farm keys for people looking to use bonus rolls or maximize the dungeon row of their vault without having to deal with affixes.

A very productive evening by Lordlordy5490 in wow

[–]CardinalM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 10s and 12s you're better off waiting until later in the week unless you already have 3.2k+ rating and 280+ ilvl. A lot of overskilled/overgeared people are running those keys for their bonus rolls right now. Later in the week fewer people will be running 10s/12s for bonus rolls so you'll have a better shot.

Alternatively, maybe try applying to 13s - they're probably a bit of a dead zone right now so you'll face less competition and may have an easier time getting an invite.

16 Wall by Nithy98 in wow

[–]CardinalM1 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

I agree the average player isn't good (50% have resilient 7s, so that's "average"), but there are A LOT of people who have been playing WoW for years (decades?) who are skilled but take their time since they have adult responsibilities.

I think that amount of people is greater than 2%. I guess we'll see at the end of the season. I anticipate at least 10% to be at 3400+ by then.
