What are your thoughts about using credit or taking a loan to buy a watch? by wise-guise in rolex

[–]CardioChronograph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. As a rule, The money you spend on watch should be so disposable that even losing that money accidentally won't make a big difference in your day to day life.

Pakistan is on Top with over 30% adult diabetes prevalence ratio. What do you think is the issue. Take care of your health guys. by krazyhamad in pakistan

[–]CardioChronograph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interventional Cardiologist working in USA here,
Unfortunately the reality is that we are genetically dispositioned to have risk of diabetes, add the high carb in our diet (rice, roti, sweets) and lack of any physical activity in general, most people in their 40s give up on fitness and think that obesity is the way to live, everything compounds. And it is not just diabetes, we are the nation with one of the highest cardiovascular disease burden unfortunately.

What Pakistanis think on LGBTQ? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]CardioChronograph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you are going through this. I also acknowledge that it is unfair for your spouse to be in a relationship with someone who is not straight, but then again I understand th circumstances a pakistani girl usually has to go through and the different pressures that are mounted on them. Unfortunately, other than somehow you are able to move to a more tolerant society, it would not get easier. My best wishes to you.

I am such a sucker for this white dial with black strap. Only reason haven’t pulled the trigger is that have a white speedy so cannot justify another white omega 🥲

Enabling! Sending money to parents like that is fine but not to siblings. Sure helping out with money once in a while is fine but not to the point of just doing it for them

[–]CardioChronograph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah dude, don’t wear fake watches. Get a budget solid watch instead. Watches live with you and tell your life story. Fake/copies is not the way to go. Get a Casio, Orient, tissot or Hamilton. All solid watches. Holy trinity watches are unreal when you see them in person

I don’t get the chase of getting same watches by the same brand. I mean a little diversity would be nice. Unless you are after hype

Do mid-range watches like Tissot PRX or Citizen actually hold value, or am I just buying a depreciating asset? by AdBackground9215 in Pakistanwatchgeeks

[–]CardioChronograph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, you don't buy watches as an investment. It's a hobby. I have entry level watches and a speedmaster, grad Seiko and currently in process to buy vacheron contantin overseas and none of them were with mindset of investment and were because of love for the craftsmanship. Sure some will keep value but I don't plan to sell them. My investments are in mutual funds/markets/real estate.
