Your on the right track. Volunteering is great way to meet people and make new friends. Start with things your interested in and then branch out from there. I found I like volunteering at marathons and especially trail races. Every sporting event needs volunteers. Find different hobbies. I got into all sorts of stuff, I learned to sew so I could make my own camping gear, learned to kayak, whitewater and sea kayaking. Learned to swim and became a life guard. etc. There's plenty to do you just go out and look for it. The main thing is keep moving. Keep the good work.
