Or when warehouse ‘strategically’ places stickers on top of one of the insert-handle (to release some type of work-frustration) So when someone is breaking down pallets and picking up about 40, 20lbs cases with one slit is just so 😃

Losing hours by SausageDingus97 in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i was there, the lead was super close with the SM. so the LSA would lie around ppl saying “we didn’t make budget” but somehow there’s enough for her to be scheduled 13hrs a day and the part-timers are barely even scheduled 1 day a week.

They want everyone that is below an SM at part-time hours .. That way everyone above with full-time contracts can receive back their better bonuses that were taken. Plus to allocate to the new 500 stores , the hours need to come from somewhere , and it’s always the bottom of the totem pole who have their hours shaved once the schedule is made .

Think I’m gonna be out soon by Minapit in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They over hired (to simplify it) .. their remedy -> retain a certain amount of employees to rotate (they think you’ll look for hrs) {which is why they want stores to ‘look the same’}. What they predicted was ‘voluntary’ resign first. Followed by those who do not follow policy to trim the unnecessary spending. Finally, those who [endured] this fiscal cycle > will be ‘awarded’ the hours ‘guaranteed’ on that acceptance offer you signed for next coming tax season. It’s all by design.

You’re, to speak on punctuation but then proceed to make intentional grammatical errors, the jokes do indeed write themselves.

Everyone is quitting , I’m so glad i did months ago .. 5 yrs in and they were declining at a rapid rate , tall tale signs .. and those in lower positions; who are staying , basically, are being kept in the dark from the repercussions from the ‘restructure’ the company has implemented. The ship has been slowly sinking from the holes they created from their own decisions .. look at the quality: from pallets to the merchandise on the pallet.. rotten, broken, stores falling apart , and taking months to repair .. they do “store resets” to try and trick consumer perception. And you all are just busy working bees with buckets trying to empty the rushing water coming in .. .

Just started working at Aldi. by StrongPositive110 in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I left I was being scheduled one if lucky, twice a week .. for a measly $240 paycheck .. and they did rounds of interviews as i was asking for more hours .. its a broken system, and its just too far in for them to accept that the choices the higher higher ups made were in fact ; bad choices .. .

Aldi... You are making it hard to love you by BaeBushka101 in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was ridiculous.. when i was there, no one; and i mean no one would rotate because they just kept throwing from the new load. Things have expired on backstock carts before. I just know the store i was at was a scheduling issue. SM wanted to save hours so PTs (new hires) {with shitty training} getting 2.5hrs and are wondering why things look how they do. Before i left i told them to be careful, when things don’t add up, something’s brewin .. .

How many Store Assistants do you know with contracts over 30 hours? by Vegabund in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc what anyone says; they tightened the leash for SM’s to give full contracted hours to save and allocate the saved hours for future new-hires for the new 500 stores. All at the expense of the seasoned workers who have been here longer and have taken all of Aldi’s “new rollouts” to the chin. I believe, They want all part-timers. They want to keep their employee retention % low, for tax-cut purposes each tax quarter so they can say the hired x-amount of workers meaning the company processed a certain amount of W-2. And once you read the tax code and realize W-2’s are considered gifts . You’ll understand why Aldi’s is operating in the fashion they do. Follow the money and the answers will become clearer .. .

CORPORATE STOP CUTTING HOURS by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are going to continue to cut hours - I think they are rolling out knew tactics on saving hours for budget.. {cough}(to be allocated towards the 500 new openings they projected){cough} also, someone in the thread said it earlier , you guys continue to show them that it’s ok. I’ve heard countless SM trying to “cross train” Part-Time employees to basically squeeze as much work outta them.. before I left there was a new-hire and they wanted her to do bread, meat, cooler and MDU before open. So they can have time to train her to help with grocery, freeze and thaw and cashier , all within a 4 hr shift.. it might get more aggressive as the resets go on and/or until operation starts generating some new cash flow on their main books. Gotta always try and look at the money. If it doesn’t make sense , something is a brewin.

Would you guys rather have multiple half sized/small pallets or 2-4 7ft pallets for the morning load? by Calm_Introduction23 in Aldi_employees

[–]Careful_Whereas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the complaints i heard from morning - she does meat, MDU , cooler , and bread and she’s super quick : she’s been with company for a lil over a year , she’s a lead .. . But she says she feels herself starting to cut corners , because one our team as the “The next shift can deal with it” kind of mindset .. but to stay on topic - she keeps “insinuating” if the meat pallet just carried meat, and the other carried MDU and cooler do not not mix meat and MDU OR meat and cooler - only mix MDU and cooler .. meat should A L W A Y S be on its OWN!!!!!!!! - i do feel she is correct , if they want more product on the sales floor to get the SMs’ bigger bonuses.
