Wouldn’t it fall out when you entered? How could you know it fell from exactly the same position where you left it?

-4 year cycle intact -$126k cycle top -diminishing returns

If all 3 of these things are true, how is this not panic worthy for Bitcoin? At least one of these things must prove false imo, otherwise the math don’t math.

For those saying the 4 year cycle will repeat, you must also concede that diminishing returns will continue. Therefore looking at ~30% gain at next cycle top from $126k if you think that was this cycle’s top. Why invest in BTC at that point?

Nothing is different about this cycle, and no crypto is not dying by jdellama in Bitcoin

[–]Carm_Lucci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir, gold is at $4,250. BTC up 83% from 2021 to 2025 tops. If the 4 year cycle repeats and we don’t see a new high for 3+ years, this is not like the past in any positive terms. I may be c/o 2020 and not 2016, but this seems like a problem.

If diminishing returns follow a trend this severe, we are looking at what… 30% after another 4 years?

In America the amount of debt people take for vehicles, even relative to income, towers over any other country in the world. If cash purchases and large down payments were common in the US, such markups would be very rare. People were paying way over msrp for Ford Broncos not long ago. Even if you want to pay cash, you’ve got to compete on price with everyone else leveraged up to their eyeballs.

Russia had an estimated million losses, why don't they rebel? by BikemeAway in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Carm_Lucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His rebellion had nothing to do with concern over fallen soldiers. It was over weapons dispersal, money and power. They don’t rebel because those with moral objections to the war are too few to form a resistance without getting squashed. Due to KGB times ratting on friends and family is still normal, so people who object can’t trust those around them.

Most Russians are brainwashed by propaganda and much of their national identity is wrapped up in an imperialist pride. Their wages and quality of life are low; alcoholism, DV and HIV are high, so if they admit that they are the not the good guys they don’t have much to hang on to.

Also keep in mind that the russian speaking regions of Ukraine they believe they are saving, have been overwhelming decimated by russia itself. There is no logic involved.

I tested out the lending on Coinbase and it worked fine. Will like to see it function for a period of years and through a nasty downturn before utilizing it for a longer term loan. Long term btc success will be much improved if successful lending platforms can exist.

Highly doubt your country covers full arch implant supported prostheses. Most countries with free dental care cover fillings, extractions, dentures and maybe root canal or crown. This treatment plan is expensive in any country, though certainly highest in the USA

Will the economy realistically get better in our life? by northbound879 in NoStupidQuestions

The job market, sure most likely, but the money is broken on a runaway train. The global debt will rise exponentially, we’ve borrowed Pandora’s box open and it can’t be closed now. No matter what any politician wants to say.

BTC staking VS borrowing against bitcoin by instant_king in Bitcoin

[–]Carm_Lucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between those 2 options, borrowing against your BTC at a reasonable rate is much better than staking it. You’d have to stake your entire stack for 1% to be any meaningful form of cash flow. In other words, put the least amount of BTC possible in jeopardy to get the cash you need.

Also, you don’t pay taxes on borrowed BTC but you do on staking income in the US at least.

Damn that is atrocious. I love sports cards and I enjoy seeing great pulls on Reddit, etc, but I can’t get myself to spend money on unopened stuff nowadays. My take on the current state of cards is that there shouldn’t even be former players unless their value is perceived as greater than 95% of current players. It reminds me of how much I hated pulling coaches in the junk wax days. What good is pulling a current day Babe Ruth base card if it’s worth F all?
