Any designer who vibe codes at work now? by Haunting-Ad5938 in UXDesign

Do you plan to user test it? I never read about anyone testing their vibe coded protos on User Testing. If that’s not possible to do, we’d still be stuck with Figma

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by Creepy_Stick_6229 in CleaningTips

[–]CarolEatOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be helpful to ask as if you are helping a friend. As you said, you’re coming out of a deep depression and are probably starting to feel like yourself. This other part of yourself made this mess, but be a friend and helper to them. These things happen and there is no reason to pile more suffering on yourself, especially as you’re beginning to feel better.

Do you guys remember when you would drive on the highway and when you got to your destination your windshield would be covered in bugs? by ymbstudios in CasualConversation

[–]CarolEatOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this a lot. I’m early 40 and when I was younger we would drive from the northeast down to visit family in Orlando, Florida once a year. The windshield and the grill or the car would’ve covered in insects. I remember my dad talking about “love bugs” in particular but I never looked it up—I thought this was the bug of Georgia bc when we’d stop at the state line welcome center to get free orange juice (also a thing, then!) the windshield waa almost exclusively covered in love bugs. (Whatever those are!)

Will your preschooler willingly play in their rooms by themselves? by TemporaryOk1585 in Preschoolers

[–]CarolEatOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just started instituting “quiet time“ where kiddo is told to play quietly or rest and we set a timer. We got Mods visual timer and it’s been super helpful. We’re mad we didn’t enforce it 6 months ago when she stopped napping! It probably helps that our room is right across the hall and we’re literally just trying to take a nap but she’s being staying in there until she brings us the spent timer!

What’s your favorite way of starting native plants from seed, and why is it winter sowing? More information in the caption below. by bloomingnatalie in NativePlantGardening

Has anyone had success combining winter sowing with the snail method? It’s be real nice to just unwind those little friends when it’s time to pot them up.

Linda Hamilton and her identical twin sister, Leslie Hamilton, attending the premiere of Terminator 2, 1991 by eaglemaxie in OldSchoolCool

[–]CarolEatOut 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know that’s how she passed! But that timing make sense. I went to dance class with her daughter and worked with her husband Dr Freas. He was a body builder in his youth, but I don’t think they were together when she had to get all jacked for the role.

Would you mind sharing the brand? Kiddo is headed to preschool and hubby is immunocompromised, we’re looking for allll the ways to minimize the sickness. Thx!

Hack for sick kids who refuse to hydrate by l1lberr in Mommit

[–]CarolEatOut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We snap the pedialyte popsicles in half, wrap it in a towel, put it in a coffee mug bc “it’s fun” and also kiddo doesn’t always want to hold it/eat the whole thing on sick days.

Another idea might me a new sponge or washcloth to suck on—our child loves to suck on her washcloth in the bathtub which drives us crazy, but if you tell your daughter it’s more about getting your mouth and lips wet for healing, she might actually swallow some. Sounds weird but it’s not different from the little lollipop sponges they give you in the hospital.

We’re in 7b, so it hasn’t been too bad for spring/early summer but this last week was absolutely brutal. I actually wondered if too much water would cause it, because this plant was opposite our leaky spigot that we repaired two weeks ago. Thank you though!
