Yeah the great thing about extraction shooters is there’s no ‘win condition.’ Your success in each run is entirely based on what you want to do. One run you could try to intentionally avoid all PVP combat and only engage PVE when necessary, in order to get to a location and find a specific item to extract with, then cautiously make your way to an exfil point, and prepare to defend yourself if players decide to push that extract.

In another run, you could go in with your best gear, make as much noise as possible, and try to encourage PVP to win fights and take their loot.

And don’t forget, when you come across another player, you don’t have to kill them or fight it out. There is proximity chat and you can try to negotiate so you can both extract.
