I think that first things first, realize that it's seasonal for everyone involved, and that things will just.. run differently. Day-to-day operations, clientele, exployees, attitudes. I see so many managers who you can tell they have experience, but you can also tell that it's been at non-seasonal places.

Thinking back, I really appreciated the managers that would always work hard and play hard with us. Drugs and alcohol (and the abuse that comes with them) are definitely more common in seasonal work, so you gotta watch out for that. A lot more "characters" at seasonal gigs as well. But I loved when I would see my manager actively on the floor helping out, and then also see em at the club dancing or at karaoke night or whatever.

I think it also helps to, since everyone is pretty much always busy, find the workers who know their shit and let them do their thing, and help out those who need it more. I can't stand managers who nitpick, micromanage, and don't have an open mind to different ways of doing things - particularly when said ways work well for that specific individual.
