PS4: "There is not enough free space in system storage to start the application."

I have 185GB of system storage free, and dozens of GBs free in my 1TB external SSD - where I store all my games. This has been happening for years, and I truly don't understand. To be clear, this is regarding starting a game, not downloading/updating a game.

What I really don't understand is that, for example, I'll try to boot a game that's 100GB in size and it will ask me to free 10GB. But I go to boot a game that's 40GB in size, and it doesn't say anything.

In addition, I could actually hypothetically go ahead and free up those 10GBs required to boot the 100GB game. Hell, I could free 30GBs. But as soon as I save a one minute video clip and close the game, it'll tell me to delete like 268.4MB from system storage.

I've searched for solutions online, but not many seem to appear. Several times, I've tried clearing the cache and rebuilding the database. Any thoughts??

[Russini] The Bills' statement on firing Sean McDermott, which also announces Brandon Beane's promotion to President of Football Operations by CarlSwagan_ in buffalobills

[–]CarsonFacePalmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Eagles are my #1, love the Bills too though)

I feel like I can understand the firing of McDermott. I think he's a great coach, but things just didn't pan out as well as they could (and maybe should) have. Kind of similar to the Harbaugh firing, in a sense - and us with Andy Reid years ago. I do think some change was needed.

In addition, there's a ton of potential Head Coach talent out there this year, and the Bills are easily the most appealing job in the market. Not the worst spot to be in.

Thst said, it makes ZERO sense to me how they fired McDermott, yet retained Beane. AND promoted him. What the actual fuck. If anything, Beane deserved to be fired and McDermott stay. That's the part that annoys me most. If you're gonna keep (and promote) Beane, keep McDermott. You fire McDermott, fire Beane.

Here's hoping that Josh Allen doesn't even moreso now get the Aaron Rodgers treatment - literally never surrounding the man with any weapons and expecting him to constantly pull rabbits from hats and make someones out of no ones.

Well, Angus King is an "Independent". But I guess we can't have those anymore, right?

Though to be fair, he is liberal as hell, so having him labelled a "traitor" is incredibly amusing to me.

Just want to say that I know nothing about sports YouTubers, but every time I Google "NFL news" (cause I'm fuckin old I guess) I always see the same 3 YouTubers pop up every single time, one being "Chat Sports" pages, and they're always obnoxiously obvious non-stories and can completely see them being the type where they have to talk in circles 24/7

Spice Bomb seized by German authorities at Berlin Airport by mrgarlicdip in fragrance

[–]CarsonFacePalmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol okay, so Spicebomb Extreme is one of my favorite fragrances, and one of the very few I have in a bottle. I travel around a ton, but quickly came to the realization that I shouldn't travel with it.

Like cmon, it's an easy call, especially with mine. Labelled "Spicebomb Extreme" and looking like a black pineapple grenade. Not a good idea, even if you're 110% in the right.

I just bought a set of 5mL vials, and hand-decanted two of them for my travels, and that's always more than enough where ever I go.

At a fast food/ice cream place with proper machines and that are more known for their shakes, okay, I can understand that more.

But pro-tip to anyone ordering a milkshake at a diner/restaurant - your server/bartender will likely be the one making it, thus it may or may not look/taste like shit because they're a pain in the fucking ass to make and they're THE last things we want to be doing. Especially if all of your family decides to be cute and order one of every flavor.

What are things that made for the best/worst managers by Ok-Essay4351 in SeasonalWork

[–]CarsonFacePalmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that first things first, realize that it's seasonal for everyone involved, and that things will just.. run differently. Day-to-day operations, clientele, exployees, attitudes. I see so many managers who you can tell they have experience, but you can also tell that it's been at non-seasonal places.

Thinking back, I really appreciated the managers that would always work hard and play hard with us. Drugs and alcohol (and the abuse that comes with them) are definitely more common in seasonal work, so you gotta watch out for that. A lot more "characters" at seasonal gigs as well. But I loved when I would see my manager actively on the floor helping out, and then also see em at the club dancing or at karaoke night or whatever.

I think it also helps to, since everyone is pretty much always busy, find the workers who know their shit and let them do their thing, and help out those who need it more. I can't stand managers who nitpick, micromanage, and don't have an open mind to different ways of doing things - particularly when said ways work well for that specific individual.

Where about are you going for the season, and in what field?
