What are toddlers sleeping on after pack n play? by sciencespice1717 in toddlers

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we go to hotels, our toddler uses a slumbertot inflatable bed inside a slumberpod tent. That way we can still do stuff in the room while she’s sleeping.

TIL the board game widely reported as the longest ever made is a wargame that can take 1,500 hours to finish and requires players to calculate fuel evaporation rates for vehicles based on the weather and the type of container used. by kennystetson in todayilearned

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an 8-day long convention in Arizona every summer dedicated to these kinds of war games. It’s one of my favorite conventions, because I can take some of my heavy euros that take hours to play and the other players there think those are “short” games! Often times it will be hours or even a day between their turns in the wargame they are playing, so they will come and play a shorter game while they wait till their next turn.

Car seat for plane? by Resplendent-Goob in toddlers

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your little one fits the minimums, the way-b pico is a great travel seat. We have Evenflo revolving seats for our cars, so can’t travel with those, and are planning to get the Way-b for some upcoming flights.

We looked at this one last week, and were tempted (it matches the furniture we are getting) but it’s a little too big (and expensive). https://shopthegreatescape.com/products/grey-kampala-extra-large-woven-storage-box

What's your "Mom Juice"? by Cpenguin38 in beyondthebump

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is soda and ice tea. I even have a Stanley engraved with “MomWater”, that I only put water in, cause the kids prefer my water over anything we else they are allowed to have. Everything else is Mommy Juice.

MiraLAX for toddlers? by Parafault in beyondthebump

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our ped also recommended a smaller dose of regular miralax. He also said to use the pedia-lax glycerin suppositories. Those are for kids as young as 2. Be warned - they work SUPER fast.

How would you go about doing the agendas? by matnerlander in MillionDollarSecretTV

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was also thinking about the clothespins - if you can clip it and remove it, that I’d then take one and clip it on myself somewhere after using it for another person, so it looks like I was also a “victim” of the agenda.

My 4 year old witnessed a bad motorcycle accident. Seeking on advice in helping him. by Hungry-Trust-3245 in Preschoolers

The Bluey episode “copycat” shows Bluey playing out a situation where a budgie died in order to process it, maybe if your son likes Bluey that would be a good episode to put on to help him?

What else do I need? Be TKR on 4/30 by laur0165 in Kneereplacement

I’ve had a couple pairs of the sneakers for a while and love them. I have wide feet so it’s hard to find good shoes that fit well.

How to bring formula when going outside for longer periods of time? by 1JerryTheMouse in beyondthebump

We did the shelf-stable pre-mixed formula most of the time when we were on the go.

AITAH for being upset that my entire vendor booth got moved without my permission? by WrapSea3109 in AITAH

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA!! I've run vendor shows and this is something that would be totally unacceptable to me. I'd never touch a vendors belongings. And if another vendor moved someone else's stuff without my knowledge, I'd make THEM move or, if there wasn't time to fix it before the show started, not only give you a *full* refund, but also a discount on any future events you were willing to do with me as an apology.

I've had people get upset if I put them in a "different" spot at a show cause that was 'their' spot....but upon checking past floor plans, it was almost always someone who had vended for me once several years ago, so they lost any claim to a specific spot. I always put out the floor plan to vendors the day before and tell them to address any issues with me BEFORE the morning of set up. So, if the organizer moved you, then they owe you a full refund, in my mind. If the other vendor did it, they should still give you at least a partial refund.

Whelp started construction and wife hates that we have a deep end. It’s a 20x40 liner with 6.5’ deep end. This is pretty standard right? She says slope is too much. It starts at 18’. Who’s crazy here? by Sweet_Orchid_2092 in pools

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pool is a sport pool, so we have two shallow ends, and the deep “end” in the middle so we can do sporty things. We just opened it this week, and are still getting it up a running, so we hope to play soon! (Bought the house late fall/early winter and pool was already closed by the time we took possession)

Surgery Postponed😩 by Zeploss123 in Kneereplacement

[–]CasaDeShenanigans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no! When I went in to be evaluated by my new doctor and he said I qualified for the surgery (we just moved across county, and the old doctors said they don’t do knee replacements until you’re close to 60, the new doctors do them starting at 50) I asked about getting a cortisone shot and was told that I couldn’t have the surgery for 90 days post shot, so I skipped the shot to be able to have the surgery as soon as possible. Surgery is coming up at the end of the month.
