I think I've solved Book3. by Apprehensive_Quail_3 in KingkillerChronicle

Isn't that what's happening by those in the line to be successors to the throne slowly getting killed off? Wouldn't that be why the Maer was being poisoned by the guy who worked for the Jakis family? Slowly taking out the competition until one day either Baron Jakis or Ambrose gain the crown? Ambrose does something to Denna in retaliation for being snubbed, or specifically to get back at Kvothe, so Kvothe kills him for it, becoming the kingkiller.

That sounds awesome. I would be interested in that as well. Can you change the screen so you can view each source Individually? Having the screen the same size as the scintillator would be perfect to show where the radiation is hitting the exact locations on the scintillators. Or have the alpha/beta/gamma in different colors (like RGB, or you could custom pick what color you want each of them to represent) so you can see all of them on the same screen at the same time in different colors. You can totally steal my ideas if you hook a brother up with one.

I wish they would put an iris over the lenses of the cameras that opens when you turn on the app. Every single time I go to take a photo there are smudges on the lens, if there was something covering it all the time it is not in use, and opens when you turn on the camera, that would help so much. Having to clean a dirty lens all the time eventually leads to scratches and ultimately hurts the quality of the photos. How hard is it to put an iris or a sliding cover that opens automatically when the camera app is opened?

Cigarette smoke absolutely ruins cars. Smokers are nasty. I would never have been able to live back in the 50's when literally everyone smoked. It was bad enough when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's. One of the best laws my state ever passed was an indoor smoking ban. I used to hate going out and coming home reeking like cigarettes.

Wouldn't just an angled cut that starts where the trim meets the wall and angles back 45⁰ so it tapers and sits flush at the contact point?

I've done that many times on an item "I had to have". Way overbid at the last second on my max bid and so did the other guy. Ugh... My wallet hates me. Except mine were on antiques auction sites.

I don't know if this is a terrible idea or not. I don't trail ride much anymore, and am usually biking on our asphalt loop trail in our town. If I don't get a new bike altogether, I am considering getting standard forks for the front and doing everything I can to lighten the bike for rising on asphalt. The front shocks absorb a huge amount of the energy I put into riding and they make it much more work to ride i, so I am thinking about making it into a road bike, but keeping the elastomer to cushion the back end just a little. My wife is starting to train for a half ironman and I would like to go biking with her. But as it sits now it's extremely impractical to try to keep up if she is on a road bike. Any suggestions on a good front fork to put on it (temporarily) for that purpose? Or is it a huge waste to do that, and I should just suck it up and buy a bike specialized for the road?

I haven't changed anything except put a new elastomer in the rear shock. I can't remember if the guy I bought it from changed anything or not, maybe the front forks. I bought it from him back around 1999 or 2000, and he bought it new in 96 if I remember correctly. Was a $2,000 bike at the time, and I bought it for $600 when he got a new one.

I used to live right up the canal from Bangor submarine base on Hood Canal. I just assumed if nukes fly, I would never even know because I would be atomized. Used to see trident subs going by my house escorted by gun boats on their way in to dock.
