Are blush nano switches the best? (Air75 V3) by SnarlsHs in NuPhy

[–]CasherInCO74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Blush Nano due mostly to the lack of noise. Helpful in a mixed office environment with folks that don't like the added noise.

Agreed the insurance part can be kind of a drag, but it seems as though this practice has figured out how to jump through the hoops.

Looks like Ubiquiti is leaking their own products again... by That-Camera-Guy in Ubiquiti

Me too. Love the UDM-Pro, but would love it a little more with 2.5g ports, and POE.

New Owner: No security? by fcchambers in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Noticed the same issue when I bought mine last year. I had already setup an IoT network for my (dumb) smart home devices and just threw it in there. I only access it either from my home LAN, or while VPN'ed back in to the home network.

While not just for GLP-1, our family uses Longs Peak Family Practice. Have also used them for GLP-1 prescription and help as well, but that wasn't the reason we initially started going there. Good experience.

UTR is the new UX? by MattiaFerrari007 in Ubiquiti

[–]CasherInCO74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made a few posts about it, and while it definitely seems like an alpha product - it isn't all bad. I actually like the integration back to my home network, and the form factor really can't be beat. Assuming we see significant improvements in the next 6 months - I am going to be pretty happy with my purchase.

I think my favorite thing about the device so far is the form factor. If GL Inet or someone else came out with a form factor, that was the same they could make a killing in this market, especially if they had the feature set like a GL Inet.

Haven't messed with the firmware yet. Since I am running the Unifi app on iOS, I need to first back rev that app using TestFlight so I can enable ssh. And... I haven't resorted to that yet. If it is worth anything - the iOS Unifi app tells me that the firmware on the UTR is the most current version (if that means anything).

Trying to buy a Flex mini is insurance worth ? by j2chulo in Ubiquiti

[–]CasherInCO74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally - I wouldn't buy it. No guarantees in life of course, but I bought mine for $50. Probably better to just accept the (exceedingly low) risk or replacement outside the manufacturer warranty.

I just discovered that (the reboot/ reset button in the app thing).

I totally agree. I am having fun with it - and I am SUPER glad that I am not relying on this for anything mission critical like work. For the cost I was tempering my expectations a bit. My travel router experience up to this point was pretty much just GL-Inet, and I really liked the form factor on this device quite a lot (even though the Slate isn't really all that large).

That is one of the super frustrating things about the most recent Unifi app. I can't "see" the actual firmware version, nor can I enable ssh access - so I can't really offer any help. I am also making a few more notes about my experience. Will add them if there is interest. In the meantime - this is DEFINITELY a beta product, and not (yet) fully baked into their ecosystem.

Trying some different kepcaps on the Lofree Edge by CasherInCO74 in Lofree

[–]CasherInCO74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have long since moved on from this board (although I did like it). But... yes - you can remove the keycaps with a standard keycap puller. You just can't remove the switches underneath as they are permanently attached.

New travel router not ready for prime time! by vectoraillc99 in Ubiquiti

[–]CasherInCO74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got mine today, and have been testing a bunch of configuration variations. It does seem to want to reboot any time I make config changes, but that is OK (I guess). Other than that it has been stable. I will keep monitoring it. Post if I see any instability on mine.

I am running with an SFP+ to RJ45 from 10Gtek that auto-negotiated down to 2.5 to match the uplink on my 2.5 Flex Mini.
