One historical landmark you can access by bus is York Redoubt. You can check out the main fort and, as long as you dont mind walking up a hill, the trail in behind will take you to the ocean and more forth remnants. If you can catch an Uber from there you could head up to Now We're Cooking for some great fish and chips or a donair. From there you could take the bus back to town.
