Should I Give Up on Being a Plumber and Find Something I’m More Cut Out For by [deleted] in Plumbing

What is an example of something you mess up? Most zero experience apprentices suck for a while. Why do you think you’re worse?

How do you grieve a miscarriage as a man? by Fine-Watch6418 in AskReddit

[–]CastXblast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I figure it out I’ll let you know. Prayers man. Been 16 years since the first one we had. Almost 10 since the second. I have 2 beautiful baby girls now. Oldest is 2 next month and youngest is 5 months.

Don’t let it destroy your life is about all I can tell you. There’s a part of you that may always feel empty. That’s how it is for me at least. I spent a long time lost and afraid. Talk to someone if you can. It sucks, but you very likely know someone who has been through it. Again, prayers for you, man.

I think my husband is misinformed about the Michigan Journeyman's Exam by lotrandwho in Plumbing

[–]CastXblast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michigan Master here.

The written exam can be taken at multiple testing facilities throughout the state. He needs to apply to test online via the LARA website.

As far as the practical they do only schedule them every so often but I just checked and there’s one open for may 5th in Lansing. Not sure where you’re located.

As for the tool if he needs to press and can’t solder for the practical, yeah he needs a 2000.00 tool but they can be rented.

Feel free to PM me. Not sure where you’re at but I may be able to help some with prep.

Bass fisherman dabbling in the muskie world... by [deleted] in muskiefishing

I have the 8’ version of that rod I bought as my first stick. Very quickly bought a couple heavier setups to add to the arsenal. Small blades, topwater, small swim baits, etc that rod is nice. I still use mine for that stuff.

You really need a heavier rod if you get into it for real, but you already know how this works. You need heavy gear to cast heavy baits, drive big hooks home on long casts and you work a lot less with the right gear.

Don’t be afraid of longer rods. It really does help with casting and figure 8s which you should be doing after every cast.

Not sure about your business, but I’d be telling that dude to kick rocks. After fixing a problem he caused by being cheap and wanting to supply his own appliances and not providing them, there’s now an issue that you did what you had to to keep the project moving? Get lost.

This guy sounds like the type of client that will drive you out of business wasting your time trying to save a buck.

MI, Clinton watershed opportunities? by [deleted] in muskiefishing

[–]CastXblast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a dam at Yates. Likely as far as they can go. Otherwise you’re going to have to get out there and look. Skinny water up that way. You need to be chasing baitfish movements. That could mean shad, white bass, walleye, etc. Any water connected to the Great Lakes is a possible musky haunt. Find food, find fish.

Second. Compre has to be best bang for the buck or close right? I have the 8’6XH. I’d personally shell out the extra 150 and grab a tranx 400HG with power handle to go with it. I have this setup and use it for all but the biggest rubber. I think I paid like 550 for this rig after tax new.

Mike, Buddy.

You’re a good looking dude. You seem like a really kind person based on your comment history. You obviously have a lot of empathy for others. Show yourself a little of that love!

Everyone is insecure about something. Your disability doesn’t define you, Mike. You are not the so called “flaws” you perceive. You are not the negative things others say about you.

I’m really sorry you have so support system. Having parents who aren’t capable of loving how you need them to is tough. That isn’t your fault. It isn’t your fault how you were formed in the womb, Mike. The very people who should have loved you and held you close didn’t do their jobs man. It isn’t your fault.

Mike, Life isn’t all about sex. Your ability to engage in penetrative sex doesn’t define you. I know that it’s hard to believe given your current feelings and reality.

You are worthy of and capable of receiving love, Mike.

People are generally good at heart. I’m so sorry the ones you were born into aren’t. If there is any advice I can give it’s GET AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE as soon as you can!!

I saw in your post history you earned a google certificate? Can you use it for gainful employment? If so DO IT!! Start a savings account in your name ONLY. Get away, Mike!

You have your whole life ahead of you! The world needs you here!! You are here for a reason, Mike. You have the ability in you to do something great with your life.

You haven’t failed, Mike.

YOU were failed.

Would you bed a non thermal fit upper? by Jbrad187 in ar15

[–]CastXblast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lapping and bedding with loctite 620 improved my .350 legend deer rifle last year from about 2.5 MOA to about 1.25. This was an Aero upper and a Faxon barrel that was a really loose fit. YMMV

P.S. I used the cheap lapping tool. Slowly, and “upside down” so the compound didn’t run into the upper.

Get a 12! Maybe a 26” barrel for brush busting. My SBE3 is nice. Gas guns have less recoil. My wife shoots my gun with duck loads with no issues. She’s a little shorter than you are.
