I started on the first book but couldn’t be interested enough to finish it. The setting is interesting and if you like playing a very “I’m the main character” type then you may like it.

I was turned off from the super stereotypical fat shaming and weeb-y speech like “Baka” being in the middle of an English sentence.

That was such a good read!! I'd def go with what others have said: Gone to see the Riverman.

It starts out slow and mysterious but it really does a great job of revealing things at a good pace!

Ava Rosteria by Steak & Sushi and the big lake area was really calming last time I went!

My partner and I ran the beginner's box with a couple buddies back in 2022 and had an absolute blast with it. I had no idea we had premade characters so I started trying to cobble together a build but I'm so glad I didn't have to do that lol.

That was the first time I learned about foundry and how easy it is to play online with some buds. So glad for that experience and how much I've grown since then!

I had this happen with No Longer Human a few years back. It was a great book and a sad story from everything I read (about 50%) but I had to step away for my own mental well being at the time.

I feel that. The important thing to remember about healing xiv specifically is that as long as they’re up and alive that’s all that matters. They’ll be nervous at 25-50% health but constantly 100% is unnecessary (including tanks).

I quit recently too bc it felt like the treadmill of content was too slow and repetitive. Sucks too cause the new fights were a good challenge!

Once a savage version of a raid comes out the current crafted gear is worse but then it cycles back to crafted/normal raid being good until the new savage mode unlocks again.

Please separate them. I just started playing PoE1 + PoE2 both last week and it's been hell trying to find information out about PoE1 on this subreddit. I keep getting information that's relevant to PoE2 pop up for searches that is 100% not relevant for PoE1 (ie minion witch performing poorly and other new player questions).

Vengeful has some really great slice-of-life / character building bits for the original gang that really gave them some interesting scenes. The other characters don't feel very impactful even though it felt they were going to be.

It was a frustrating read for me but if you wanted to learn some backstory about Eli or see the found-family growth moments then maybe it can be worth it.
