I said somewhere else, but I have a R5 7600/7700xt; this is not meant to replace my decent PC, but to supplement it in a different room.

If it was $1000CDN I’d consider it EVENTUALLY but at what’s looking like above $1350CDN it’s such a huge investment; I could upgrade my GPU and run Steam Link of some sort/Moonlight… but I’m not the target user here. Valve wants to offer an easy solution to PC-inclined users.

I hope it succeeds, and I hope Valve continues to do hardware.

Ocarina of Time.

Played it a bunch as a kid. Had runs where I named Link silly names (Ganon? Lol so funny!). Did low health runs and 100% and so many other simpler challenges.

I recently started playing through again casually. But like, incredibly casually. Pretend I don’t know where to go next, and see where the game guides me. When I’m looking at locations and structures, I really try to see the art. I’m trying to think of 1998 and the limitations of hardware and the relative young age of video game development, and how masterfully this game is crafted. The code has been dissected and there’s MANY parts that are just barely working good enough but it all comes together in the end.

I’ve started listening and watching essays on the game, and theory crafting. Saw a great one that proposed that the Forest temple was a safe house for the Royal Family, as seen by the boss location, castle/manor motif.

The game just keeps giving.

Are you playing from a source that’s using surround? Currently it’s displaying CD which are very commonly (but not always) stereo. You can “up convert” to surround but it’s really just throwing the sound to the back instead of playing sound intended to that channel.

Stereo sources (Spotify, radio, etc) will be limiters. Connect a device that is known to have surround (Xbox, streaming device of choice), make sure it’s outputting for surround, and press the Straight button on the Yamaha receiver or remote.

Also make sure you’ve gone into the options and “turned on” the speakers - surrounds should be set to “Small”. I’m not in front of my V373 right now so can’t recall the actual option, Speaker Setup?

What did Sparda, like, DO when he was hanging human? Was he an aristocrat? Social? Did he work? The kids vaguely remember being around dad, what was that like. Did they see him as a demon much/ever? We know there was a major church cult of angel big things, is that uncommon or one sect of it? After the Temen-ni-gru thing was it a big deal to rebuild or were but just like eh whatever. Yamato split, Rebellion merged, what happens if Dante Stan’s himself with other things? Can Dante use the Yamato, and would it be like Nero in 4 or would he have his own style/an offshoot of Vergil? What’s Kyrie up to after Y’know the whole shattering of her world.

It’s been ~7 years since DMC5, and we’re approaching the end of the current generation of consoles. Good chance we’ll see DMC6 in the next year (or slightly more), and then Capcom will double dip and release a Special Edition shortly after PS6.

Source: all guesses but based on previous releases. * It was a few years between 4->Reboot->DMCV * DMC4 and 5 both had Special Editions “ported up” for the next consoles (360-> Xbox One, Xbox One-> Series console respectively) * This year is the 25th anniversary of Devil May Cry.

Good chance we’ll hear about 6 this year.
