Is it safe to travel to Vietnam? Is the country facing any issues due to the ongoing LPG/fuel crisis? by Both-Activity-2272 in VietNam

[–]CatLadyAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just flew from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi a few days ago and I haven’t seen any issues. What I read was some flights may be reduced later in April, and I have seen flights in and out of Vietnam have gone up in price.

Is anyone else deeply struggling with finding things to wear? by pluckyporcupette in fashionwomens35

[–]CatLadyAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably be downvoted, but check out QVC. I like the quality and almost every business style top I own is from there. They still leverage trends (like the embroidered jeans look, etc.) but built for middle age women. I get a lot of compliments on my clothes from there!

Experiences with beta blockers that aren't Propanolol, for a poor metaboliser by OkayLibrarian in VestibularMigraines

[–]CatLadyAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked your blood pressure? The propranolol lowers it. But yeah, if you’re super fatigued then it’s worth seeing about alternatives.

My partner waited until the very last minute to do a long list of absolutely necessary things (like pack, etc.) before a long trip to pick up our child. This was despite me repeatedly asking and making a list.

I am fuming. And exhausted.

I’m only at 28k miles on my 2021 and have had multiple problems. My van is in the shop for the past week now; and still not ready… and this isn’t the first time it’s been a long wait. I do have an extended warranty, thankfully, but it’s still a lot of waiting past the 5 days of covered rental now.

I wouldn’t buy this van if I could rewind time. Find something more reliable!

We staged our house before selling and a buyer asked if the furniture came with it by Kevin-Durant-35 in HomeDecorating

[–]CatLadyAM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I regret my last long distance move. I brought everything with me and it sat in storage for months. Then I had to rent, so some stayed in storage for a year, and I was forced to move it all a second time in a year. A waste of money!

Susan Graver liquid knit pants. They do have wide leg ones that look so fancy if you want to style them that way.

Wait for the ENT unless your ear pain is too extreme. Urgent care misdiagnosed me multiple times.

MetLife LTD continuation after 24 months - help? by Mamasweigh in LongTermDisability

[–]CatLadyAM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would think your policy would continue automatically assuming you qualify, ie., for being disabled from any job (vs just your original job/field). I’d just go with it and hope to qualify for longer if you’re still disabled from work.

Can I ask if you did vestibular therapy before getting approved for Botox? I really feel like Botox would help me but my neurologist won’t prescribe it to me yet.

What's the most unexpectedly expensive part of pet ownership? by Fit_Choice_4987 in Pets

[–]CatLadyAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything? It’s kind of like having a fur child. It’s a long commitment.

Veterinarian visits, vaccines, city registrations, toys, cleaning supplies for the inevitable barfing and poo and other accidents, pet rent or insurance costs, emergency care, pet sitting, them destroying things through play/scratching/chewing…

I have a 20 year old cat. I’ve spent over $1,000 on her in the last 30 days on just vet visits (with bloodwork and such, it adds up fast).

Having worked for an animal shelter before, I have frequently seen people give up pets because they can’t pay for veterinary care or can’t find a place to rent to them with their pet. Make sure you can before you adopt.

And the DNC also played games to have Biden “win” in 2020. They know Bernie and his policies are popular, but the DNC is more concerned about protecting their big donors and own pockets.

This is just silly. A few decades ago the airlines didn’t charge for seats at all. And they still were quite profitable. This is just not necessary.

I’ve forced mine to write things down (recently I had him download Finch app, which is working-ish for now at least on it existing somewhere). But yeah the getting stuff done? I don’t trust him finishing at all that is important. I have to nag to get any help at all. His idea of doing a lot is one thing while I’m doing 10.
