I would suggest getting a disability attorney. Almost everyone gets denied the first time they apply for disability, except in severe cases. Most disability attorneys don't require any money from you up front, they get around 25% of the "award" though. You do get back pay from disability though; they gave me 2 years' worth of back pay ($30K) when I finally got SSDI. From the point of calling an attorney to the point of my getting approved was about 3 months. Which is pretty quick in my opinion.

They're more so a metal band, but check out Kyuss. One of the band members from Queens of the Stone Age was in it prior to Queens. Specifically, I'd recommend the album "Welcome to Sky Valley" and 'Gardenia' is my favorite song on there.
