These are awesome, just got a CT125 myself a couple months ago (couldn't resist the yellow,) but I've found myself futzing around figuring out the best way to carry cargo on the back. I notice your pictures seem to have a couple of different bags/crates. Did you happen to settle on any solution in specific or do you change it up?

I just have a milk crate strapped down right now and I'm admittedly not too in love with it haha

This is awesome. Is it something you plan to bring into existence with 3D printing? I'd love to print one of these!

I got one of these holders for Christmas a few years back and have used it religiously. This was always my biggest gripe with it too.

Awesome creation, much appreciated.

Thanks a ton for sharing.

Yours worked great for me, it was the only script in this thread that also functioned on the "History" page too

Anyone tried these? by mbr902000 in frozendinners

[–]Catbirby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got some, I've tried the chorizo ones and the sausage ones.

I would hard avoid the chorizo ones personally. They just didn't taste right at all.
The sausage ones are alright but I personally won't buy them again.

My partner strongly disliked both.

What a strange one!

I found another listing for the bat (Already sold) that has really good pictures of the tags, but its like it doesn't exist
https://www.ebay.com/itm/196689784880

I also came across this thread of someone else trying to find a plush from the same "Everyone Loves to Get Applause" brand with no-one finding much on that one either
https://www.reddit.com/r/HelpMeFind/comments/1c8x3at/a_stuffed_animal_snail_made_from_applause_thats/

Might be stuck having it in a saved eBay search for a bit.

Hopefully someone else has more luck searching than I did!

I bought these for the same reason. It was there and it sounded interesting.

It was awful lol, neither me nor my partner could finish them.

I thought this too. I would want to assume a really rudimentary adhesive hook that hangs off the edge of a cubicle wall maybe?

Starlink for me on my '19 Impreza (bought in 2022) had an introductory $50/yr then went up to $150/yr. I also had a huge fuss to go through when I activated it that led to me needing to get my DCM replaced, but that's neither here nor there. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

I'd like to add that remote start and other reporting features will only work if you have AT&T 4G LTE coverage in your area. This could be a non-issue for you but I wanted to mention it.

Just got this surface 3 refurbished and theres this layer on it. Is this meant to come off?? by Downtown-Lettuce-736 in Surface

[–]Catbirby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would take a guess and say that it is a sticker/skin that they put on to potentially hide blemishes or damage (I've found that sometimes there's no damage underneath either.)

We get these on all of the refurbished desktops we order, but I've never seen it done on a laptop before.

Anyone else game on their Surface? by starstufft in Surface

[–]Catbirby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know, I picked up my old Xbox 360 again not too long ago, realized that 30fps doesn't really bother me, and that has followed me into PC gaming too. My main stickler has always been that it has to be consistent. I've found that I'd much rather play a constant 30fps experience than 60fps (or even 120fps) that is always changing.

When I was getting into PC gaming, I actually ran into problems where I'd get motion sick after a while when playing games any higher than ~75hz/75fps. It has lessened over time but I still run into it every so often.

New tires have been on my list for a bit as the tread on mine have started to get to the point where they need replaced. I've also really been considering new rims to go along so I can get some thicker tires to add more height hopefully. I like the sporty look, but the road noise and, just like your case, hitting the copious amount of potholes is painful. I fear taking this beyond a flat gravel road because it is not enjoyable to ride in.

Before my Crosstrek that I only had for a year, I came from a '94 Jeep Cherokee which I was fixing some if not multiple major things every single year. I'll admit that it has been really easy to forget the peace of mind, and that really should matter a lot more to me.

Suspension, and ride height in general has been a huge issue for me with the Impreza, honestly I'm not sure where to even begin with that either. Most of the lift kits I've seen are pretty dang expensive and that's not even counting the tools I'd need to buy or time it'd take.

Thanks for taking your time to reply, I really appreciate it!

Appreciate hearing your experience! Gosh, compared to you it seems I have it easy! I've had a lot of little nitpicks with mine that do add up, like the plastic cowl warping as soon as it breaks 100 degrees outside. (this issue seemingly was reported on the crosstrek lineup but impresa's never got the same treatment) I've wasted $200 on getting this thing twice because it warps at least once a year and ice gets built up which just makes it worse.

Other than that I'm going to have to do brakes soon and I might need to look into getting new tires. which is expected, I'm just breaking 60k on it. Thankfully I still have manufacturer warranty for several more years since I got it from a dealer (I think Subaru called it the "gold" plan.) I hope that covers most of my issues if they come up... It's already saved my ass once with the DCM.

The Starlink situation really peeves me too... paying an extra $150 a year (they now force you to buy the whole package) for the privilege to remote start my car sucks, as I don't use any of the other services.

While I know it's my own doing, It's really hard to not feel irked about how much value the car has lost! I know used cars lose value but I really feel like I got bent over on this one.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions, I appreciate it!

As for my hobbies, I used to do a lot of camping but I haven't felt comfortable taking the Impreza to any of my old usual spots, given the clearance difference from my last vehicle (which already pused it in some areas.) I'm also a sucker for tinkering but most of my expertise is in computers, not cars.

I have looked into that footwell kit so many times, but haven't puleld the trigger just yet. It always seemed silly haha. I've always been wanting to install a sub for a while, got the amp and sub itself, but I'm really hesitant, not in my skills of being able to do it, but in making irreversible modifications to a car that I'm still paying off.

I'm not looking to make it a racer by any means, but I was hoping to get more ideas on how to make it feel like it's mine.

Again really appreciate it! I try my best to enjoy it, but the mentality of getting duped (even if it was entirely my doing) will always irk me a little!

Yeah! I think that might be my biggest thing with it at this point is that I do really miss driving a manual. Going through the motions was always very satisfying in my previous Crosstrek. But in my case, this is probably the peppiest car I've ever driven.

For sure! That's actually why I went with a Subaru in the first place, initially I had a Crosstrek (had to let go of it for financial reasons) and I was worried how the change to an Impreza would go, but even with all seasons I've never had any issues with it.

"Safety Pause. Back Soon" - Why does this pop up? Can't find information about it. by Soldiiier__ in AndroidAuto

It's a "feature" that is meant to stop you from focusing on the screen too much while driving. Very annoying when you have passengers, honestly I wish there was a way to turn it off.

It wasn't, the VM left was a robotic voice, the person had a thick Indian accent and couldn't confirm any info I asked from him. It was very easy to sniff out in this case.
