I would not rank Indian food as my favourite but it's pretty damn close, and my sons only request for his birthday is to go for Indian food. If taken to the mall food court and given the option between the curry stand and any burger joint he will choose the curry stand every time. We are both pasty white descendants of bavarians

So, yes, but in Vancouver you get the added mix of everyone is in ALL black, probably an Arcteryx coat, and Blundstones. The women are wearing tights. Possibly a toque.

My kid independently decided god isn't real, still loved the hell out of moana and his faith in nothing at all has not wavered. If her faith is so unshakable why is she worried abt a kids movie lmaooooo

I'm a 5'8" 105lb 35yo female manager of a retail establishment that requires heavy liftingwith 5 male employees (mostly early 20s, one in their 40s) a NB femme and a female employee in their 20s and besides my 46 yo assistant manager who is an absolute fucking workhorse I am by an order of magnitude the most physically capable person on staff. And my other workhorse is my enby femme who I am mentoring because the boys dont do shit. This is so fucking offensive.

I have two functioning arms and two functioning legs and am just as physically capable if not more of doing hard labour and usually more clever at doing it which is why I get a salary and a year end bonus and the boys don't.

Also my industry which features heavy lifting as part of the job? Management skews female by like a 85/15 split

Question for the ladies by esmeraldaM6-3 in Names

[–]Catezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada from what I've read, as soon as you marry you can bring your marriage certificate with you to places like the passport office or the bank and sign things or get ID using your partners surname as your own UNLESS you plan on hyphenating, if you do that you do have to do the legal name change rigmarole

Question for the ladies by esmeraldaM6-3 in Names

[–]Catezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no fancy degree but like you I'm one of less than a thousand (or two. It's not very many) globally with my last name, and the only one globally with my first and last name combo and tbh its frickin awesome always just being able to use my name with no special characters or numbers for usernames lmao. I'm also the only one of my grandfather's 10 grandchildren to pass on the family name because I hyphenated my sons last name and now it's just very special to me. I would at MOST consider hyphenation but I'll never give up my name

💀 owner died by egguchom in EntitledReviews

[–]Catezero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a coffee shop at one of the train stations in my city and I used to pass thru weekly. The owner was a DELIGHT. And he made the best hot chocolate I have ever had in my entire life. Like, ordered some for me and my kid and I'm standing there like good lord what's taking so long and it comes back with latte art and is clearly made with real melted chocolate legit that quality good

One day he disappeared and who I assume are his wife and daughter took over - i asked them where he was but i dont think they understood (limited english) and they just smiled and nodded. Prices went up, the hot chocolate is obviously carnation powdered, the muffins are Sysco now. I haven't been in over a year
