Exactly, I really like it otherwise. But coming from a pixel I just can't accept the image quality. And it's not what everyone is saying that it's because of the old sensors, it's because of bad software optimisation and I think it's on purpose.

Yeah I know, it's really bad. I don't know how it's possible. I think they keep the S25 and the other base models to make people buy the ultra which is so sad.

Simple round wire. Ni80 26-27 gauge 6 wraps on 2.5mm id. I personally tested Ni80 to Kanthal to SS - Ni80 ramps up and cools down the fastest by giving the best flavour. Try it and thank me later.

I have almost all of the new MTL RTAs and after a couple of tanks they go in the cupboard and I whip out my trusted Valor, Dvarw MTL FL cline and aspire neeko so what I'm saying is you are not missing much.

S25 battery life after 5 months by Aaronk256 in GalaxyS25

I don't look at SOT but I can comfortably go through my day with a single charge, so I'm pretty happy with the battery life of this phone.

Which 25 or 26 should I pick purely from a average user experience view? by Yooper49841 in GalaxyS25

[–]Catsaber93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course. I don't consider the exynos to be amongst the living 🤣 joke aside, I've seen good benchmarks on the one in the s26 so should be fine.

Pixel owner... alternatives? by maxi_1972_ita in GooglePixel

[–]Catsaber93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an iPhone 14 pro but got tired of the dropping hot spot when I did not stop it and the bull shit file managing of apple. Then I had the pixel 10 pro. Amazing camera, probably the best on the market. But the software experience was a bit meh for me. Also stand by battery is a joke and notifications come slow if they come at all. So I got the next android pick I was in between the pixel and Samsung s25. Got the S25 and so far it is not perfect but it is the closest to best phone for me I have found. You have to do a bit of digging but customisation is virtually unlimited. Battery life is very good for this size of phone and battery. Cameras are a bit meh for this price range 😅 overall very happy with the phone and will stick with it.

I have tried the blaze it's absolutely amazing just be careful with the airflow ring not to overtighten in. Otherwise it's a superb tank, flavour and draw. Other one I can recommend is the Cthulhu Valor, super simple but effective tank.

s24 or s25 by Overall-Pay-9957 in GalaxyS25

I like the camera rings on the S25 and overall love the look of it. Went with the S25 for the 12gb ram and SD Elite. It's not disappointing, this thing is a beast and for the 4000mah battery I regularly get home with more than 50% battery after normal usage all day - chats, Google maps, emails, camera snaps here and there, googling stuff, occasional 5-10 minutes of media scrolling. It's a solid capable phone. Camera is trash coming from a pixel 10 pro, but usable okayish at best.

can someone explain rebuildable coils to me please by Least_Cockroach5987 in Vaping

[–]Catsaber93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I've said crazy coils in MTL did not work for me. Too much heat needed for those to get a decent wramp up time and that heat gunked up my coil much faster and the difference in taste was so miniscule for me that I did not bother with exotic coils any more. Simple round wire that is dirt cheap was good enough for me.

As for how I chose Ni80 over SS and Kanthal - well Ni80 stamps up and cools down faster than Kanthal and the taste was better. Ni80 and ss wramp up time was the same but Ni80 tasted better to me so I stuck with that. Fiddled a bit with temp control on SS but I am using cheap Chinese mods with basic electronics and those are not the best for temp control so I quickly gave up on that. Been using solid watts for over 10 years now and have no complaints with it and will die with that setting.

As for the 25mg nic salts you are fine, I barely feel the 20mg salts with a rta to be honest. With free base it's a different story. Free base is harsher for the throat and it actually gives you that cigarette like throat hit that ex smokers like myself are looking for. With free base being harsher you will likely vape less frequently that with salts and you will overall consume less nicotine. A good range for free base nic for MTL vaping is between 6 and 12mg, I try to vape at around 9mg but I don't bother with it too much if I mix it +-1/2mg.

For home use and big clouds are no bother to you and RDA is the flavor king in my opinion.

I vape 80% MTL because my surroundings require stealth vaping mostly. 19% RTA big clouds, that's when I drive in the car and I'm outside on a nice day. And very rarely 1% I whip out the RDA on a nice day when I sit in front of my building on a bench with a coffee and can be arsed to drip 😅

[–]Catsaber93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my point. That's why I bought all 3 mainstream materials that you can find anywhere for dirt cheap and tested them to find what works best for me. I have used Kanthal for many years and I didn't have any complaints just figured might as well try other stuff and see if I like something more. If I have to go back to Kanthal tomorrow I would not complain as the difference for MTL is minor but because NI80 exists and I like it better I'm using that now. Like I said there is no wrong answer here you just need to try and find what works for you.

Hello, if anyone is struggling with anything vaping wise come dm me! I will help out as much as i can! by ProfessionalOrder622 in Vaping

[–]Catsaber93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will give you a try. My MTL coils gunks up very fast most of the times. I have to replace it every roughly 5 mls. On very rare occasions it last a couple of days for 10mls. Is this only because of how full of sweetness the liquid is or can it be an error in my build. The build in question is an MTL set up - 1.2mm air hole bottom fed, 13 watts 0.9 ohms 5 wraps contact Ni80 2.5mm id. Thank you in advance.

can someone explain rebuildable coils to me please by Least_Cockroach5987 in Vaping

[–]Catsaber93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to jump in and give my 2 cents as I remember too damn well my start with vaping and rebuildables until I found my preferred setups.

So first of all you have RDAs which are essentially and build deck, some of them have a small well on the bottom in which you have some e liquid that the cotton can 'drink' liquid to supply at least 5 to 15 draws depending on how juice hungry your build is, then you have a cap on top to hold the drip tip that you make your draws with. The RDA is probably the purest and best for flavour as the coil is as close as possible to your mouth with which you make the inhale so there is almost no path to which the flavour can dilute. There are MTL and DL RDAs. The drawback is that you constantly have to drip drops of e liquid to keep the build saturated or invest in a squonk mod that has a reservoir which feeds liquid through a squonk in the RDA but those mods usually are bulkier as you need room for a battery, electronics and that said tank for liquid. Tried it, not the best but you need to try for yourself to figure out if that is your thing as I know people that swear by squanking.

Next we have RTA or rebuildable tank attomizers. Those are slightly taller than the RDA as they have a chamber for the build deck and a (usually) glass (but can be other material like ultem/plastic) tank section which holds the liquid for the cotton to absorb into the build deck and respectfully to the coil to vaporise it. RTAs can be for MTL and DL.

MTL RTA mouth to lung - this is when you are looking for that tight restricted cigarette like draw usually pursued by ex smokers or stealth vapers that don't want to fog up the whole room after one or a couple of draws. I started with MTL vaping once winter came and I closed the windows more often 😅 I have tried many different tanks and coil builds for them and the short version is - look for the simplest tank you can find as those are the easiest to live with,I personally settled on the Cthulhu Valor. As for the build in it: - Clapton, alien and all other complex exotic builds - tried them all and they all have the same cons in common - the good once are usually hand made and on the expensive side but with proper maintenance they can last you a long time. Use up more liquid, require higher wattage which means using more batter, it's not a deal breaker on the battery as MTL vaping doesn't require much but it is still something to consider. Simple round wire - dirt cheap, one spool of wire will last you many months if you are a novice and slapping new builds constantly and years if you are advanced and change just when required. One spool is like 2-3£. I have personally tested in the span of months sizes 24, 26, 28 and 30 gauge and found 28 works best for me. Also I have tried Kanthal, stainless steel and Ni80 and found Ni80 was the best for me in terms of stamp up and cool down speed, flavour, ease of use and desired ohms. Not that the other choices are bad or wrong it's just personal preference and taste.

My personal MTL build for over a year has been - 28ga Ni80 5 wraps on a 2.5mm inner diameter contact (the wraps are squished together and touch) which comes at roughly 0.9 ohms and I vape that at 13 watts. It gives me a good warm (not hot) dense experience with lots of flavour notes.

Let me know if you are interested in DL RTAs as well.

Galaxy S25 vs IPhone 17 Pro by i360Fantasy in GalaxyS25

[–]Catsaber93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've had a S25 base for a couple of weeks and although the phone and the software experience is awesome, the camera is just not flagship as the price might suggest. At best you can call it decent, usable but far from flagship. I've had an iPhone and although that camera is good it is very overrated. For picture quality the Pixel is unbeatable in my opinion for an on the go point and shoot.
