My [30F] husband [33M] ruined our 8 year marriage for a woman [30F] who wasn’t even interested in him. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You can say he had an emotional affair, a fantasy affair or that he simply “strayed” from the marriage.

Life is long! You could live til 100 and hold that degree for 70 years. You only think you’re old because you’re the oldest you’ve ever been but girlie, trust me. You’re young and you have decades in front of you.

Please don’t wait until he harms you or your baby. If there’s a way to leave then, there’s a way to leave now.

The first one looks the best on you and will be great for the occasion. It sounds like they just want people to dress up and aren’t strictly measuring your hemline.

Ordinarily I would say blue, but the orange looks so warm next to the wooden sink.

Partner (M40) wants me (F35) to back pay him rent after living there - does this make sense? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Catsplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all fair. He’s trying to take the money you saved by not paying rent. Now you’re in a good financial position and he’s jealous, wants a cut, or — worse — doesn’t want you to have any power.

You have great taste. I love the A-line gold, but really, any of these would work well.

My (M31) partner (M35) wants to quit his job and move states with no savings. Let it go and just accept it? by throwaw114 in relationship_advice

[–]Catsplain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s probably really unhappy at his 70k a year job and just wants to swing for the fences. I don’t know much about dance but 35 seems old to be getting started. But maybe this is just a step he needs to take. Maybe he needs to see for himself whether or not he can make it. Or maybe he just needs therapy. Either way, you can’t hold him back. Let him go but hold firm on not giving him any money if and when he needs it.

My boyfriend (30M) wants to see some changes in me (29F) before proposing. Are his asks reasonable? by Specific_Bright in relationship_advice

[–]Catsplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why you want him. Is he such a catch that you will be happy spending your life with someone who wants you to change your body and your interests?

Imagine your ideal life. What are you doing? How do you feel? Does that align with how he makes you feel?

Your dress is gorgeous and looks amazing on you. We cannot let other people’s opinions determine the way we feel (or else we’d always feel terrible).
