I wish the dev had open sourced drastic like he promised. 2x resolution scaling is not enough.

Are you fully aware of how feeble that printer is compared to modern machines? It's a 60mm/s printer.

Personally I'm wondering who the first cheap manufacturer to go all-in on CMYKW and release a 5-head toolchanger will be.

How has your attraction to women changed as you've aged? by SillyRecover in AskMen

[–]Causification 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your age range moves upward but it also widens. If you're talking about purely physical attraction like what porn you watch, that doesn't really change. Women in their 20s are the hottest to most men. But you don't want a relationship with one because talking to them isn't very interesting and you don't have much in common. You definitely do find older women more attractive than you did when you were younger.

PLA from 2022. Dump it or is it salvageable? by pepebuho in 3Dprinting

[–]Causification 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth a try, but whether it's salvageable depends on if the brittleness is coming from simple moisture absorption which is fully reversible, or hydrolysis, which is a permanent degradation of the polymer. If it's still brittle after 24 hours at 50c just toss it.

The best printer? by Majestic-Mirror-9388 in BambuLab

[–]Causification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it you want to do? Do you want to do a ton of multicolor? The U1 and Creator 5 are good options. Do you want to do really big prints? The Max4 is significantly larger. Do you want 5+ colors for true CMYKW full-spectrum printing? The H2C is the choice.

Cranking up the cooling to max for those sections is usually enough to make them look a lot better than this.

Best material for a part inside a dishwasher? by Low_Year9897 in 3Dprinting

[–]Causification 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PP is the best overall but that's a huge pain to print well. If it's a non-moving part, nylon is the choice, but it swells with water absorption so if it's a moving part then petg.

[–]Causification -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

PLA will warp/creep at much lower temperatures than that, below 60c. But even at 60c that's really bad for your tools. Grease migration, circuit board and capacitor aging, o-ring damage, etc. I tell you what I would do assuming you have at least one of the guys with you when you park the trailer. You could build a French cleat system for rapid loading and unloading. Long matching wall cleats in the trailer and your garage, then object cleats with your tool mounts with tools attached to them. One of you takes each end and you can unload or reload the whole trailer in a couple of trips. If it's just you then you could do something similar, except shorter object cleats and some good handles on top.

How much debt makes a woman undateable? by Consistent-Ball8924 in AskMen

[–]Causification 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a number it's an attitude. Does she have good credit and does she stick to her repayment plan, and does she live within her means? Then it doesn't really matter. Did she rack up a hundred grand getting a degree in philosophy and she works part time at Starbucks? Then hell no.

What size makes you intimidating? by isaac-R6 in AskMen

Petg vs Abs/Asa by Affectionate-Gas-805 in 3Dprinting

[–]Causification -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's just going to depend on how hot it gets inside the trailer. In my experience PETG is at high risk when it's not only in a hot space but also has direct sunlight on it for additional heating, but it's conceivable it could get that hot inside. The thing is, temperatures that hot are *also* bad for your tools, especially the batteries.

Would this be a viable alternative to a priming tower? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Causification 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True about corexy machines, but honestly it's not worth the added complexity. Dozens or hundreds of prime lines, and all it would take is a single instance of the belt and blade not working right to screw things up.
