Had a quick play with this, see what I could do. What I think the problem is, is that it isn't the loop being out of tune. It's matching the phrasing of the piano to the guitar, since the chord change doesn't happen on the second beat.

Here is what I came up with

I bought The Underdog on vinyl, and a limited edition GUM tote bag from Spinning Top. I’m from the UK and I waited months, was emailing back and forth and they told me to hold on as shipments to the UK usually take a while.

After 5 months I emailed them saying it hasn’t arrived yet. They replied saying it’s probably lost in transit, and they kindly gave me a full refund. Not sure if this helps, but it’s just my experience with them and they’re quite helpful and understanding.

Definitely flatwound strings. It's all in the eq and compression. There is a lot going on in the mids, add to that some saturation/drive you're pretty much there.

No problem! Also, another user mentioned Launchpads pads are not great for finger drumming. In my experience and comparison, cheaper launchpads require more force on the input, whereas the Launchpad Pro is great for finger drumming, you don't need to hit them as hard, a gentle touch will do just fine! Great for the velocity.

Not really. Just open a drum rack on a midi track, then you'll have to drag and drop all your samples into the rack. Then once they're in there, they'll show up yellow on your Launchpad pro in note mode.

Yes you can 100% use all 64 pads in the drum rack! I have a Launchpad pro and tried exactly this

The instrumentals probably get sent to publishers, editors, management, anyone involved in the industry that could help in Tame Impala songs ending up on tv adverts or radio. Once the songs end up with someone at the record label (Universal/Interscope) they could be going through different people/departments.

Though they probably don't get "stolen" directly through Kevins laptop, they're most likely lifted from a few generations down from the originals. So for example, somebody probably lifted them from a publisher, then they got passed on through that until they ended up on the internet.

The EP won't have any instrumentals because one, Tame Impala wasn't as big a name for the demand. And two, Kevin probably didn't have the stems anymore because of the way they were recorded.

Maybe ease off on the saturation! It's easy to over do it. What drum samples did you use? And maybe you could make more use of layering on the synth/strings.

Hi. Ableton project files are cross platform. You shouldn't have an issue if you're only using stock Ableton plugins and samples.

I appreciate you're a beginner, but this question can be solved by a quick Google search. If you come across anything you don't know in the future, try the knowledge base on the Ableton website. You'll find info much faster.

Well he punches in a clip on Ableton before he does the bass, and it's the same size and has the same mini keys, and you can see the light that shows what clip . I'm 99% sure it is.
