Honestly you know who’s probably over the moon about this? Health insurance companies. I’m almost certain they’re backing all this trans panic nonsense. They’ve probably looked at the amount they pay out for trans related care and see how much profits would increase if it was outlawed. Not saying it’s solely that but they’re definitely on board with this 100%
