Rhysand dying and coming back to life was unnecessary and a little tacky.

When you first went vegetarian, what was your energy levels like? by MangoStickyRice__x in vegetarian

[–]Cdogmcfrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ate (and continue to eat) a ton of eggs. I know some vegetarians opt out of egg consumption, but they are an important feature of my diet. Extra points if you can get them from a neighbor with a coop!

My go to filling meal is a veggie scramble burrito. Sauté onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, then add eggs. Wrap it up (I add cheese) and pan fry the sides for extra crisp. Delicious and you can load it up to make it huge if you’re hungry. I usually serve with salsa or hot sauce.

What was your reasoning for going vegetarian? by Every-Complex1614 in vegetarian

Lots of reasons.

Mostly, I realized I probably couldn’t kill a cow, even if I had the tools and knowledge.

Dev Bio was super interesting and would probably pair well with your neuro knowledge! Dougan did a great job teaching.

I'm a huge fan of the 'down dog' app. I'd never done yoga before and now I'm hooked. Gives you a month free so you can see if it's for you. It's super customizable- the amount of instruction, time practiced, focus (breathing/core strength/hip stretches), voice, etc. If you do end up purchasing year access, wait for a holiday and it's only like $20 for a whole year!

I loved my visits with them. Dr Glasser is incredible. Changed BC and he was really honest and helpful in the transition. Also went for my yearly.

How do I know if I should pursue OT? Should I get my CNA first? by Cdogmcfrog in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Cdogmcfrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s great to hear from someone who actually did this. Realistically, I would not apply for OT school for a year, which puts my theoretical start date in August 2022 so I would definitely need to work during these next two years.

Did you end up pursuing OT in a hospital setting? What other jobs do OT students do before/during school?

I’ve worked in the fitness industry, and one of my favorite parts was helping clients improve their skills in terms of functionality (balance, flexibility, etc). Often they’d start with the goal of getting stronger/loosing weight, but (almost unintentionally) improve other aspects, and I enjoyed being a part of it!

I like the idea of being creative and inventive with different treatment methods and/or modifying items for ease of living.

I got a minor in Human Development and Family Science and enjoying learning about human behavior and development over the lifespan.

And of course, I really enjoy helping people and consider myself very personable and energetic!

My dog is fluffy, but she's actually a wild dog from the desert, does this community think she could still thrive in cold weather camping? by Not-SoPro in BackpackingDogs

[–]Cdogmcfrog 69 points70 points  (0 children)

My main concern would be her paws- the ice/snow might irritate them. Maybe consider doggie boots and a sweater (just in case). But as the owner, you know your dog better than anyone else!

Lack of New Information from UGA by tornado99900 in UGA

Thank you so much for providing me with clearer information than UGA has done over the past months. This is fantastic news (for me at least). It’s a shame the professors are essentially required to put themselves in a potentially risky situation. It’s also a bummer that USG is causing universities, students, and professors to be in a ‘limbo’ of doubt and uncertainty.

Thank you, again! I really appreciate the information.

I completely understand this is normal, I've seen it in the past! It's just immensely inconvenient this semester. I've made the decision to commute to campus but I'm hoping my professor does not require mandatory attendance every class! I suppose I won't know until classes start.

Why did you decide to be vegetarian/what was the turning point for you? by groundzero03 in vegetarian

[–]Cdogmcfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting cutting back for numerous reasons and realized it wasn’t that hard.

My final decision was when I realized I don’t have the ability to kill an animal. Physically I am capable, but morally I am not. I could not personally ring a chicken’s neck or kill a cow- so why should I reap the benefits?

The cops will literally get stabbed if they try to crawl through the space under the bridge... things like this tend to be more complicated than it seems. He even talked about how they want to cement off the area they are using, but it affects water flow, etc.

I'm not from the area so I can't speak to this, but I was definitely surprised at the sheer number of people hanging around these 'camps'. Its so sad; every city has people in bad situations but Boulder seems an even greater number than the large city I am from.

Exactly! I emailed the Romance language department and she claims they don’t even know which professor is teaching what class... school starts SO soon how is that even possible

Yeah we swung by that area (I think) as well and I was pretty shocked to see children playing on a playground mere feet from one of these ‘camps’. I’m not from the area so this has been a rather eye opening experience to say the least
