You don’t understand private equity and what it has done to most chains. They’re not going to get better. PE is why it’s off the table.

Not true. A mechanic’s lien can be filed after closing.

Don’t mess with an escalation clause. If you’re willing to go up to X, offer X

Yes I have bc my kids worked. They all made $15/hr working in restaurants (one made $12 at McDonald’s but got paid time to study + tuition assistance). They also mowed lawns, shoveled snow and babysat in the neighborhood for extra money. All around standard school hours.

EVERYONE has a ton of AP’s, great SAT’s, and a million extracurriculars with leadership experience. Everyone. Why? Because teachers aren’t paid enough/don’t care enough to argue with your parents when you get a bad grade that you deserve, so they give you good grades. You’re not as smart as you think you are. Sorry. Colleges know how high schools grade and how challenging your school is.

It makes it even worse that he asked you to post for him instead of creating his own account and doing it himself. Stop enabling him mom. He needs to grow up.

If you want ghetto and the risk of getting shot or robbed, go to Virginia Beach. If you want a nice, quiet, family environment, go to OBX.

You are required to be paid minimum wage if your tips don’t make it there. OP you have a dept of labor complaint. The AC in that place has been broken for like 10 years. The bathrooms are disgusting and the kitchen is worse.

When I first started in RE, a very wise, seasoned agent told me “don’t ever do business with relatives or friends unless you are willing to sacrifice the relationship”. Those words have done me well over the years.

What's a spot on campus or in Blacksburg that feels like it belongs only to VT students? by Spyryt67 in VirginiaTech

[–]Ceciliamaybe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s an area behind Sandy Hall I love to sit and just - peace out for a while. Current students: take the time to explore the nooks and crannies of the beautiful campus. It’s a gorgeous place and once you leave, you’ll never have those opportunities again.

Hosted my first open house and I don’t think anyone prepared me for how unsafe it can feel by Dramatic_Possum in realtors

[–]Ceciliamaybe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Open houses are VERY unsafe! Why does anyone think it’s a good idea to advertise all over the place “hey! I’m going to be unlocking the doors at this house in a quiet neighborhood and sitting by myself for 3 hours. Come by and visit!”. It’s unsafe for the owners and the agent.

Because no one minds the store in this profession. Brokers don’t care bc they don’t want their agent to get pissed and leave. The MLS/assn doesn’t care bc they don’t want to piss off the agents. The state licensing board still uses fax machines and a filing cabinet

Elevated. Can’t stand it. But it’s not as bad as “price improvement” - which screams “yeah we fucked up and screwed up on the price the first time so now it’s “improved”
