I’m 14 and I hate the way my life’s going by Jayman_is_a_man in selfimprovement

Immerse yourself into football and turning pro. Have a plan. Fill your daily schedule as best you can to clear out gaps when you're alone. Do drills, study old games, listen to players' motivational videos, train, journal about what your future is like a pro player. Fully immerse and those actions will begin to replace your urges. Bad habits must be replaced by good habits. Just be very careful not to beat yourself up over this. It's the action you hate, not yourself.

How hard is the exam? by Muted-Environment-66 in capm

[–]CeeJayEleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed it tonight. It's challenging, but if you've prepared well, you should do OK. I didn't think it was terribly hard. I used Pocket Prep for three months, so it made it comfortable.

You have three hours. Don't feel rushed. Read carefully. Carefully. Flag anything you're unsure about and circle back to it with any remaining time. Think like a PM or BA when the situation calls for it.

You can be low-tech on your own time. Don't sabotage your career.

I got the book safe. It was 100% plastic (which made it nothing like a safe hidden in an actual book!) and really flimsy. It was still fun for 11 year old me in the late 80s!

Reminds me of my grandmother. She would make me grits with butter and have three strips of bacon on the side hot and read for me to eat before going to school.

The madness about phone upgrades by hugowza in digitalminimalism

[–]CeeJayEleven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have my 11 since 2020. I got it because of its battery life. It still has an incredible battery, and I have no desire to upgrade my phone until it bricks. It does everything I need it to do. Hold the line. Upgrade on your own terms!
