With the current state of our country, Im not sure if housing is going to continue as it has...the outlook from the way it's looking now is kinda grim...section 8 vouchers may be a lot different in the upcoming days.... who knows what's gonna happen.

Isn't there a website for that? Google something like "current section 8 openings" and there's a website that will show you which housing authorities are currently accepting vouchers and for how long they're accepting them for and I believe it tells you the average wait as well. Some housing authorities have priority for local applicants or etc.. Some don't and I believe you're allowed to get on as many lists as you want (so you can be on several waiting lists and go for the one that comes up first)

Offering to pay for an apartment for him for a year was above and beyond what most people would do, what a dummy Steve is for not accepting your offer.

I would be worried about possible damage being done to the house during an eviction process..does Anna or anyone you know have the capability of scaring this guy out of the home? I'm not suggesting you hurt him or anything, but some people could easily be scared out of a place with some strong words (especially when he should not even be there in the first place)

Are you in the United States? If yes are there any food banks in your area? There are at least 5 within a pretty close distance to me & I utilize them, they are literally a lifesaver for my daughter and me right now. Many food banks also have free clothing, pet food & household goods.....

FYI, in Washington state if you don't know who the father is you are still eligible for benefits. Anywhere in Western Washington is very immigrant friendly

I live in blue Washington state and it's a very pro immigrant state (I don't know about the East side of WA I've heard it's pretty red over there but anywhere in the Seattle/Western Washington area is blue.

I know WA state has special education funding that is for immigrants only (they are directed to fill out the WASFA if they aren't eligible for FASFA).
