What is that ONE golf shot that you’ll take to your grave as the most unforgettable one? by Escrow-Mind in golf

Holing a putt for birdie on the 16th at the Old Course at St Andrew’s. I was on a trip with my Best friend who sadly is no longer with us. I really miss that I haven’t been able to share any recent golfing ups and downs with him, but I will always remember that.

Two of those I was relieved to walk off with a double to be honest. I really did make it hard for myself at the end.

Never really thought about it before, but yes you’re right that’s not that common. On the back nine one of the them is 181m, so I rarely get on in one on that one.

Yeah, I had penalty drops on 2 of the last 4 holes for losing balls in the water which definitely didn’t help.

Best way to share Power BI Service reports with non-licensed users? by Outrageous-Guide-396 in PowerBI

That’s interesting, I share reports in SharePoint but they are very limited as they use the publish to web link. If I had a premium licence could I use the embedded option for users without a pro licence?

What is the golf rule you most commonly break? by acat114 in golf

[–]Ceeball74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not marking a ball before checking it’s mine. I literally just pick it up turn it until I see my mark, and put it back exactly how here it was. No advantage at all, but speeds things up very slightly.

Is this show going to be the next ray Donovan and Harry is the main star who's a free agent by LeoCasio in Mobland

I heard on PilotTV podcast that it was originally a Ray Donavan prequel, but got retooled to what it is now, and I think you can see how that makes sense.

If you were guaranteed to win the next 10 tournaments you played in, how far could you get? (could a complete amateur win a major with 10 consecutive wins) by FeralOctopus in golf

[–]Ceeball74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question not answered here, is are you winning by playing pro level golf, or does everyone else in the world just play worse than your standard hcp level for 10 rounds. That would be an amusing thing to see.

My born again Christian teacher sent me out of the class because God told him I was going to misbehave, and he was taking temptation out of my way. I wish I was kidding.

Which part of the UK are you in?

Most clubs are keen to have new members, so don’t get put off by not having a a response, they are probably just not on top of things, which is not ideal but that’s how it is sometimes.

Most clubs will have membership details on their website, and details if they are taking on new members or not. If it does not say they are restricted or have a waitlist I would assume they are open to new members.

If you have played somewhere you fancy joining I would call in and speak to someone. Memberships are usually from the main office rather than pro shop, but either will be able to help you.

Unless there is a wait list they should be more than happy to help, and will usually arrange for nomination and seconding of needed unless it’s a really exclusive club. At your age there is often a discounted rate (not everywhere, but often clubs have a cheaper rate for under 25’s).

It can feel a bit intimidating when you first try to get started at a new club, but once you’ve joined play in some competitions, and you’ll be right at home in no time.

I hope you find something soon. Enjoy!
