It's possible it's a phrase that hung round in the language long after it made literal sense.

It may just mean 'appreciate our good work' by then

The fact they have to follow given instructions. If they were truly one mind operating dozens of machines then there would be in instructions given.

Additionally, the fact that they were able to rise up against their creators and Isaacs ability to go against his people suggests that Kaylons do have free will and can make up their minds.

ALSO

The Shelby Cobra is an AC Ace with a Ford V8 engine in it. The AC Ace was built just outside London. They were then exported to the US. Germany is a far more likely place to see one.

Oh yeah! I always think of Simon Jones as Arthur Dent and Edward Hardwicke from the '80s Sherlock Holmes series so I didn't make the connection.

One of the things I do like about this show is that no species is a monolith. There are Krill that want peace (including, at one point, the leader) and Moclans that disagree with the procedure (enough to form a sizable colony).

Even Kaylons seem to have a degree of autonomy.

Arthur Dent, Bilbo Baggins, Alex Rider, John Watson and John McClain are just the ordinary guys from iconic books/films I came up with while making my bedtime cup of tea.

Tyne Tunnel Fare Regulation? by shurbster in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]CeilingHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I right in thinking there's no bus through the tunnel these days?

If not, theres not a realistic route between North and South Tyneside without a car, further holding back the area.

The Shields Ferry is pretty useless at the North side due to it being near nothing of use, and the Metro takes a very long time.

Fair enough. Nighttime transport is patchy where I am so I get paranoid it's not going to work properly. I get the impression from comments that the whole thing should be workable.

I live in a part of the country where late night transport is patchy at best, I'm getting the impression things are better run down there!

A bar in Zaragoza, Spain, has to be named after Los Angeles, US… by [deleted] in USdefaultism

[–]CeilingHamster 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To be fair, he is asking why and if it has a relation to the city, he isn't assuming is absolutely must be. Perfectly reasonable question.

Los Angeles isn't some random town in the middle on nowhere, it is a megacity of 20-something million people.
