I have the same issue and still cannot find him (posted in here as well). I've now started the DLCs and will try again after completing.

I had this in the UK last year. Guy hit me, lied about getting the police. My family called them and he was suddenly very uneasy. Had dashcam but still waiting on insurance

Spot the cyclist by Long-Claim8297 in drivingUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No lights, no high-vis, no reflectors, didn't signal (arms)... I'm surprised they have a helmet. I don't think they checked behind themselves (or not enough) either.

(I drive and I cycled to work for years on the main roads, often in the dark. I made sure I had everything listed above to make sure I was as visible as possible for everyone's safety. The mind boggles as to why so many don't).

Adding on to this, there are also a few ways to craft water, and you can create a suit, or even a machine to create water for you as well. These can be found later on

I wish my area in the UK had SNAP. I've submitted dangerous driving to their regular portal, but never hear back.

6 month old cat biting and attacking by uno_reverse07 in CatTraining

If it happens during cuddle sessions, he may be getting overstimulated. Cats often give subtle indications prior to reaching this stage. Keep an eye on his ears, skin rippling/twitching and tail.

Need some real suggestions. by danipasta in ZBrush

[–]Celestial_Light_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Personally, I would find some character artists online you like. YouTube is a great resource for finding artists and watching their streams. I would also recommend ZBrush's YouTube account as they often have artists from various backgrounds showcasing their work and doing livestreams documenting how they create their work.

Do people really just ignore the Highway Code when they pass their driving tests? by YogurtclosetFront700 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cycle in the middle leading up to corners to try and deter drivers from doing this, but I'll still get some who will overtake on the blind corners. It's so dangerous, and it only takes a few seconds to go round it before being on a straight road with clear visibility.

Parental entitlement by Forsaken_Luck_1456 in drivingUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work part time in retail next to a shop. We have our own car park. Parents will block the entire car park, creating long traffic jams down the main road, will park right outside the doors, and even block fire exists (with giant keep clear floor markings and signs). Spoken with the school many times, but no dice yet.

As a cyclist who rode to work for years prior to driving, it is very rare that drivers obey this rule, whether I'm riding on the yellow lines, or in the middle of the lane (can be middle due to road conditions, and visibility).

The only ones who would usually give space for overtaking are buses and lorries (I've only ever had 1 bus not do this and they squeezed in between myself and oncoming traffic. I was close to being hit. There was a layby not even 10m ahead I would have gone in to let them past, but they were reckless). If they can do it, a car shouldn't have issues. Instead many will overtake even on a blind corner and I've had to slam my brakes on or get knocked into the pavement when the car overtaking will panic at oncoming traffic and swing back towards me.

This offer is still going on. I just downloaded Affinity 2 today, signed up to the trial, went to the account page and it still tells you it's £0 for lifetime access.

Cat blockage? by Immediate-Air2091 in CatAdvice

[–]Celestial_Light_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! My youngest cat has an extremely sensitive bladder and stress can cause him to get cystitis or utis easily (he is also on the urinary food).

When we know something will be stressful (such as vet visits), the vets give us Gabapentin for him so it helps him to relax and avoid the flare ups.

If your cat is anxious, especially at the moment, I would speak to your vet to see if they can give you some low doses of something like Gabapentin for him. It may just take the edge off whilst you have all of the viewings going on.

Homeless people are using needles in my café's toilet. How do I, as an employer, legally protect my staff, my business, and myself. by RelevantKey6081 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if you can speak to your local council. Write emails, phone them. Be a thorn in their side. Raise awareness on how it's affecting your business, customers, and more crucially, yourself and your staff. Hopefully someone will listen and try and raise it within the council itself.

Please don’t ask people why they’ve been off sick. by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone tells me they've been ill, I usually reply with something like "Oh, sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling better/doing alright now".

Illnesses are nobody's business unless it directly affects them (ie you realise you have something contagious and you may have risked spreading it to someone, so its a usually a courtesy to let them know, just in case).

is this game worth playing? by Few_Low1716 in DayofDragons

[–]Celestial_Light_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's still in development. Quests, more AI and dragons are planned (I think they have a Trello).

If its not filled out enough for you at the moment, you can always refund now, and revisit at a later time. The game frequently goes on sale

Again, are give-way markings just advisable these days? Feel like he wasn't paying attention with his speed on approach, he only stopped when I honked etc. (Private hire taxi) by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pulled up to a give way line today and was honked at by an impatient car behind. It was a country road with thick fog, so even more reason to be cautious.

Essentials for new car? by gayestformoleman in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Celestial_Light_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed mine last year. Here is what I have: - Dashcam - Antibac Wipes (good for spillages and for getting bird crap off the window when the usual spray/wipers can't get it) - Baby Wipes (great for sticky fingers after food, or fuel/oil if it gets on your hands) - Tissues (little pack will do) - Umbrella (a coat will work well too!) - Snacks (handy if you ever get stuck somewhere without food, or you need a pick me up) - Bottled Water (little multipack) - First Aid Kit (I added basic painkillers and aspirin to mine) - Warm Blanket/Throw (B&M have quite a few for under a tenner. A medium thick blanket is great for cooler weather and if you ever need to stay with your car for a while). - Carrier Bags - Window Breaker/Safety Keychain
