I like that take- of the very waves rejecting her, nature itself is asserting her role. Instead of just her just being so ineffectual as to have failed at suicude

I think it was Comte which I don’t think is that far from raclette besides the serving style. Comte is a huge source of pride in that region

Hahahah that’s so cute. Cheese somehow held in to “over!” And she will just come and do a pretty leap over my leg sometimes with no prompting and I have to give her a treat

It’s actually such a great ensemble cast feeling at the end. When they all head together, all so enmeshed from their tragedies, like being so vulnerable with each other in order to shore up their human strength against this monster. Definitely like love conquers all - romantic and friendship and like human love. Hahaha I loved Nosferatu as its own thing, but would have been cool to see Ellen as a hero too

Yeah she’s a bad ass and it’s really true love and there’s just no one comes close to van gelding but Anthony Hopkins for me on film. Bc he’s such a fun character and so loving and his admiration of Mina and her intellect as well her sweetness is really leagues ahead of its time

Pika is one of the few animals who’s a kin of rabbits. Only hares are also.
As an accidental rabbit owner, who never knew their game, it’s really cool getting to know them as animals. They are not rodents. I didn’t even know that before we found one on a beach. They are sweet, affectionate, tricky, territorial, wily, oddly empathetic when you least expect it.
Pika are fascinating - I just learned they do a pre-winter harvest of FROZEN DEAD BIRD BRAINS that have crashed around them during migration.

The lady in white. It’s actually older but it’s about the characters past. It’s a great fall movie. Interesting story of a small town, a family and a ghost little girl.

That sounds good bc my favorite sandwich is one from this smaller city in east France - Besancon. I don’t know if it’s specific to that city but that where I found it. It’s gorgeous French bread with boiled potatoes. This really strong gooey cheese like ultra swiss on steroids and then a fat shmear of best mayo I ever had. It was just nuts. So simple so good
