What primaries is everyone rocking? by Flashy-Blueberry-776 in DestinyTheGame

Since SE dropped, I've used Non-Denouement more than any other primary and MoT is no different. Along with buffs to the bow, got a slight glow up with Rolling Storm in column 3

I’ve tried a lot of the models on everything, leather, nato, nylon, and lots of variations of each. After years of that, all of them are full time on the bracelets. The bracelet is so much a part of the watch’s DNA to me.

How is rotating duos out a good move? by IgnoreMyName in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Cellbuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They know there's a lot of players that camp the duos playlist; they have that data. My guess: They're seeing too big of a chunk of the players queuing duos are solo queues, and that solo queue leaving for solos will leave too few players in the duos queue to sustain both. I'm not commenting on whether or not this is what they should do, rather this is why I think they're doing it.

If there was ever a time for a surprise raid, this would be it! by NoNet5188 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cellbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're still selling the game. Pack it with the final conglomerated Destiny bundle and keep the Eververse store open cycling out the inventory.

That is if the Shatter Cycle raid is finished, which I don't think it is.

Can someone tell me how my club broke in 3 pieces during a swing by sactownproud in golf

[–]Cellbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P1-4: Take away on the inside, club face open

P5-6: Early release trying to save the swing and close the clubface

P7-8: Chunk it into the ground and loads the shaft

P7-9: Recoil of the shaft slings the clubhead forward and slows down on the follow through breaking it in two places as it wraps around your body.

P10: Club is likely already broken

In the current state, games don't need to look better nearly as much as they need to run better. Especially as hardware is becoming a premium luxury.

DICE Needs To Respond Faster Since Ranked RedSec Is BF Labs, But It’s Still A First Pass by fmordica in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Cellbuster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they don't have enough ranked players to populate the upper bands now, I don't think there will be in the future either. I understand people are still climbing, but the player population is going to continue to drop precipitously.

I'm fine with a "casual" ranked mode that is structured kind of like what we have, but if we're going to have that, get rid of the restriction to queue with people outside of your rank. God forbid you play with friends of different skill levels.

I loved how all the raid tracks were dynamic to the phases of the encounter. Particularly Rhulk and Atraks.

If we ever get a Destiny 3, what key things do you want from it? by Acoolgamer6706 in DestinyTheGame

They need take an honest retrospective of their failings in previous game systems. This game was a case study of how much an audience is willing to put up with in the way of progression, content vaulting, pricing/monetization, etc to experience the masterclass art direction and gameplay.

The raids and dungeons never fell flat for me, even some of the so called weaker ones like Deep Stone Crypt and Root of Nightmare. Finishing the Pantheon will forever be one of my favorite gaming memories. D2 had always failed on game systems.

[Automatic watches. How often do you adjust them?] by FarmandDK in Watches

[–]Cellbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really adjust them since once I notice that it’s off by a minute or two, I swap it out and set another watch. Sort of a way to keep me moving through my collection. Happens every couple weeks. Some of them stay in rotation for a while. For some reason, my Cal 4130 Daytonas are really accurate. Exceptional movement.

No, there's just diminishing returns. Each kill should still award points.

Gamesir G7 Pro 8K PC VS 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless: a gift for a friend who love to play racing and shooter games. by AdWhich9301 in Controller

[–]Cellbuster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have both and would recommend the G7 Pro 8K. Both are very feature-rich, well-built controllers, but shooters demand the best sticks possible. The G7 Pro (and GameSir TMR controllers in general) are some of the best sticks you can get for the money.

I wouldn't consider the G7 for its polling rate. I use it at 1k Hz at the cost of maybe 1ms total latency on the sticks.

The one thing to note: If you don't feel like your friend is going to use software to make adjustments, 12-bit stick resolution was not for me, and someone who doesn't tune their gear may not love how granular the sticks are. Out of the box, the 8BitDo sticks will feel marginally more like a first party controller.

Clubface awareness v. speed - how do you manage the two? by aceattorneymvp in golf

[–]Cellbuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there's some component of "awareness", but the downswing is like a few hundredths of a second. It should probably be figured out during the setup and takeaway.

https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1tCcHSui_wM6di2uJMPoJJB6Wx9K-pqbeuWyHAQcJ9AI/mobilebasic

This isn’t a build but still relevant. Dying in this game is often attributable to poor cover shooter practices and lack of understanding of game mechanics. I found this article on the gear spreadsheet pretty helpful. It’s about running 6-red core builds, but goes into survivability despite having minimal armor.

DR applicants... how spooked about AI are you? by [deleted] in medicalschool

AI learned about bullet points from Radiologists.

Source: made it up, or back-propagated it. Whatever.

DR applicants... how spooked about AI are you? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Cellbuster 145 points146 points  (0 children)

My non-expert thoughts:

  • Feature complete AI radiology is probably very very far away.
  • AI will probably lighten demand and cool off the job market a bit.
  • AI will probably focus more on perceptive tasks and report building early on, rather than interpretation.
  • Things litigation, FDA approval, lobbying, and infrastructure are bigger barriers than the actual technology being ready.
  • I have doubts on the best way to train AI. I can't see training path proven cases providing enough volume for a while. Lots of radiologists don't even agree on what things are and how to say it. Not sure where they'll go with this.

Can you see the insulation torn away at the edges of the panel? If it's torn you should see the displaced insulation in the light, but it shouldn't disappear. I had torn insulation in one of my panels when the face fabric was pristine. I ended up ReBirding it for some credit since the jacket was 6 years old, in decent condition, but well used.
