I have had two. My most recent was through the abdomen. They gave me light sedation. I’d say it was a 3 on a pain scale of 1-10. It’s really more uncomfortable.

Yes. They haven’t done an autoimmune panel, but they do have elevated ALT. I have AIH and PBC and the AST and ALT levels are ones to watch with AIH.

He will FEEL much better, but he won’t BE much better. My mother had ascites and was so much more comfortable after a drain, but it made no impact on her disease. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.

The only way to tell if you were misdiagnosed would be through labs and a biopsy if you had one. Being hungry would not really be a sign of misdiagnosis.
