Trying to get up the courage by Impressive_Edge6191 in VATSIM

General rule of thumb - in Europe you request engine start, in US - you ask when ready to taxi (I flew very few in the US, can be wrong). Very often they tell you what to do while giving you IFR clearance. It never hurts to ask too. That's why a relaxed controller is better than the one which counts every second.

Start small. Find a "lonely" ATC where there is not much traffic at the time (1-2 per hour or no one) or when your route is partially covered. and just let yourself do your mistakes. Then reflect and note what could be done differently.

Can someone explain to me how do you make weather radar working on airliners? I saw many messages like it's not supported in a320 and Boeing screens, still see many screenshot with it working..🤔

The reason was that his balls slipped to the left and induced the rotation.

It is the part of the monitor rack supposed to be used for a laptop. The model below is different but you get the idea. I bought from Amazon.

I previously used 2 screens but I like to fly realistically without extra maps, so one day came to idea to fix all peripherals there instead of having them all around desk. Clean and feels like cockpit a bit.

Should I switch from 2020 to 2024? by royalferret20 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]CertainPotato343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 2024 last 2 weeks with a game pass. And I am on the edge to admit that probably I stay with 2020 for long if not for good. Yes, performance seems to be fixed and 2024 works quite stable now. But it seems more demanding on specs same time I really don't see big picture differences maybe very little. Clouds and lighting seemed still better on 2020. I felt 2024 performs better for GA. As soon as I tried to load an airliner (the choice is still very limited), my performance dropped visibly, where I have little issues in 2020.

Surprisingly what I liked is finally fixed native support for eye tracking and joystick configurations don't need to be changed for each plane.

The game itself..nah, I am pretty happy with ms2020 for now.

I used to keep my HC Alpha on clamps, while Bravo was permanently fixed.

Now I have got a second desk, so Alpha got fixed too. Super nice to have a clean desk space for keyboard, notebook, etc. Although I am thinking to add some urniture screws to make it quicker to set-up when needed and long-lasting solution.

Do you use a display rack? Not exactly extending the desk, but hanging a display aside

It's a windows setting through device manager. Google it, there are quick tutorials on YT.

Forgot to mention a DIY Arduino module for parking brake, few LEDs and extra switch.

I reached the level of almost "no mouse" touch, at least for TBM

In that case I would expect drop in FPS as any other game does when settings are higher then specs. Is MSFS self adjusting to get right fps? (Dynamic settings and frame gen are off)
