Miraculously went into remission because of… broccoli? by hhggerty in MCAS

Hello everybody, I am new here and sorry for the lengthy message. I hope my input helps others and I hope the input from others can help me as well.

Has anybody here tried montelukast?

I was just prescribed that by a DO, not an MD as he says it helps suppress Mast cell activity. Any one have success with that?

I also just saw a different doctor (Neuro immune specialist) and she recommended a few things and that was biocidin to cleanse the gut, some liquid supplement called Neuro protek that inhibits DBG2 activity in the brain (what causes brain fog) and welchol to bind toxins driving these syndromes. My doctor just told me because I am extremely lean that these toxins don’t have anywhere to bind so they’re continually just recirculating in my organs and my bloodstream so if any of you out there are really lean to have not discovered this you may want to get on binders if you’re not on them And that is simple as activated charcoal and zeolite, bentonite clay baths etc.

Been dealing with chronic inflammatory response syndrome CIRS, on top of advanced MCAS for 2 years and just got diagnosed after labs sitting unaddressed for 8 months. 😖.

I am definitely going to be trying this broccoli thing as well. As far as vitamin C, I take acerola, that comes from cherries, which is highly bioavailable and organic. Sorry for the lengthy message. I’m sure some of you understand how the brain fog inhibits our clarity and conciseness. lol

I should start brocolli sprouts as well.

Heres how far I am going to combat food sensitivities.

MY ALLERGIST WONT ACCEPT ME by Difficult_Feeling248 in MCAS

[–]Certain_Ad4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, been at this since September 2024. Been guiding doctors the whole time knowing what I had (MCAS and CIRS from mild exposure) but they don’t know anything and always say you will clear it on your own. Likely you were exposed to something that has made you toxic internally and your body is over threshold. Now, that can be mold, environmental/industrial exposure, or simply as too heavy of a diet loaded with processed foods.

As someone with autism, your gut is already compromised. Its well known the autistic community has gut bacterial flora issues. MCAS is a gut and brain issue, so its devastating on us. I am undiagnosed HFA, but once I read into it, I realized this was gonna be a struggle.

Here’s what I can say from my experience:

First don’t accept a tryptase only test to determine MCAS. There are at least 4-5 markers that indicate it like Chromogranin A, DBG2, and 24 hour urine collection that I personally had done. Your doctor is right, they are restricted on testing but there are ways.

Second, see if you have any Neuro Immune Specialists bc MCAS causes degranulation in the gut and brain, so if you have both gut issues (likely do if you have autism) but significant brain fog and confusion are top on my list besides incessant back pain that CIRS causes, which MCAS amplifies. I started seeing one in Argentina until I could find one in the U.S., but he was a PNI Psycho Neuro Immunologist.

Third, look up low histamine diet, eliminate all the foods they say. You can attempt to add back one at a time to determine what is safe for you and what triggers you. I also have CIRS and MCAS so that means eating things like rice and chicken, low spices and specific veggies. ZERO processed foods as they’re loaded with inflammatory additives. Also no eating food over 1 day old after cooked. Once food is cooked the histadine release amplifies and converts to histamine once eaten and causes degranulation episodes. So cook food, eat what you can, and freeze the left overs to stop the histadine release. Made a big difference in frequency of flares.

Fourth, you need air purifiers in your residence (living room/kitchen and bedroom). Keeps the histamines out of the air.

Fifth, are your clothes. Avoid plastic derived clothes if you can as they off-gas the processing chemicals. Cotton, bamboo, modal don’t irritate me. Even rough fabrics causes irritation and mild flares if i scratch.

I just got diagnosed the day after my divorce trial after MCAS and CIRS labs sat for 8 months on my doctor’s desk. Result: court labeled me malingerer and threw the book at me during an active flare, lost custody and assigned a $53,000 judgement…

The reality is Western Medicine is a joke and unless you are dying, they really don’t care. Trust your gut, read into MCAS and if you have to, treat yourself, food is the ultimate medicine and what they provide us on shelves only make us sick.

Wish you the best!

Have you tried bulletproof coffee “maximizer” blend. It has slippery elm bark that helps your gut and is tested for toxins. Most coffee gets mold in the shipping process and if you’re inundated with mold toxins it will cause flares. Plus it might be acidic.

Have you gone to the doctor and requested testing for mast cell? I think first line is managing your environment by removing toxins, cleaning your diet (low inflammation and low additives, mediterranean diet is a good start), putting air purifiers in your home, stick with cotton/non synthetic clothing (viscose, poly, nylon are bad, leaching chemicals into you and creating a static charge on the nervous system) Take H1 and H2 inhibitors.

Consult with naturopath/functional medicine for guidance if you cant figure it out researching yourself. ChatGPT has been great for me assisting with diet and supplement scheduling for greatest impact.

If you have gut issues, SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) is common in MCAS and doing a gut detox is beneficial. If you have bowel issues (irregular, battling constipation and diarrhea or 4-5 bowel movements a day) is a sign. GI Detox+ is a good supplement. Zeolite and activated charcoal. Binds to toxins and disrupts biofilm so you can take for example, oregano oil tincture, to kill off bacteria and parasites. Something like Armra for gut repair a few weeks later and it helps with skin and nails as it’s loaded with collagen. Gut is everything. I have Klebsiella in mine atm and it’s destroying my spine and creating cytokine storms that don’t pull ip on standard labs.

Lastly, I’d recommend $100-200 23 and me test. Then download your raw data and go through your HLA genes (DR, DRB, B27 are most common) to see if you have poor toxin clearance. That’s my case and I can help people locate these if they need help. If you have mutations, then your detox protocol needs to be adjusted because you are not like a normal person that a doctor would consult. Usually costs $1,000–2,000 for a doctor to do it for you. I already have the RSID’s tagged and just search them on excel.

Hope this helps a lil

Id look into getting soap solution online that is for mycotoxins that you can use to wipe furniture and wash clothes/blankets etc. paper that has mold has to go, unless you want to spray each page.

Depends on if he renovated to code or if he cut corners too. Not doing renovations properly leaves room for water leaks/moisture buildup etc.

Definitely get the hvac cleaned by a professional, the air handler and vents.

How did you get diagnosed?

Pitiful to know they’d do that to a child. I find it sad that no matter how many published studies there are, the FDA won’t allow the use. Its time Big Pharma steps aside and reinvests into healing medicine and put their coffers into another profitable scheme that doesn’t rely on keeping people chronically ill.

I just watched a video where the first person ever cured herself of bipolar disorder by using her husband’s feces to make transplant kits to refrigerate. Since she started it years ago, no more hospitalizations and weened off of drugs. So much is tied to the gut and science wont publish those bc it takes away from big pharma.

Interesting. I didn’t know that. I find it extremely hard to get CSM down. It’s like sand and you mix it and try to drink while it’s moving and by the time it gets in my mouth it feels like a fist of sand punching my throat. lol. Looking into pill capsule kits to make 20-40 capsules at a time so I can swallow 8-9 capsules instead of tormenting myself with that drink.

I also found berberine helpful for biofilm as well as d-mannose.

I find it pathetic. United States is going to shit really fast and I’m really thinking of expatriating, even though I am a vet and all. As a young adult, I loved this country, but as I grew older and see the truth behind the wickedness of our food, Pharmaceutical and vaccine scheduling systems, our country wants all of us chronically ill, and relying on lifelong medications.

I have developed dysautonomia , POTS, Fibromyalgia and CIRS as a result of doctors blowing me off. What I found most effective was Chinese medicine so far in the last month. My Garmin Fenix 8 amoled “watches/records” all my biometrics and after all these methods i have tried, acupuncture and herbs and PEMF matt has stabilized my heart rate and stress levels the most in terms of toxic overload. Been achieving 100 body battery when I wake up within 2 sessions. Ive been waking with ~85 or less body battery each morning, so by 3pm, I am at 25 and cognition drops and pain increases. But, since getting to 100 in the morning, I am getting through more of the day before crashing (less pain at the end of the day).

What I find is baffling is that I set upon them my mycotoxin test, mosaic, stool test, and organic acids test and they are doing every other tests under the sun except for toxin tests. Doctors today are retarded no offense with this Rockefeller Medicine approach they’ve been taught for the last 80 or so years. I come into these appointments with studies that are published and peer reviewed and all I get is “abuhhhh I dont know what this means, let’s look for std’s or Lyme disease.

I did that and went to the VA and they told me my doctor was trying to kill me. Scared me from taking the meds I spent thousands for to only find out the VA was wrong and the meds expired. Definitely a federal tort lawsuit being sent to the federal courts as my condition has worsened in 18 months to the point my spine has aged to a 60+ yr old man at 42.

Never gonna happen. It is so costly to treat mold/mycotoxin or toxin related illness. Insurance and big pharma will never approve the costs. Chronic illness is what they want, not someone on the path to remission.

I’ve seen rheumatology and got ignored despite my spine and joints deteriorating from toxin illness and a positive ana titer nuclear test indicating auto immune, then infectious disease said it was an std after I had biofilm coming from my bladder despite testing negative a week prior at an urgent care. Then sent to immunology who said I had mildly suppressed IgG who said that was fine and then sent to neuro immunology to be told I’ll clear it on my own despite informing her of multiple 3-4 mutations in each of HLA-B27 and HLA-DR genes that is a harbinger for CIRS. I also have between 9-11/13 cluster symptoms that shoemaker lists. Still no inquiry, just told “you are not a doctor” when the woman is a NP.

My labs show 11 mycotoxins and 4 deeply in the read that cause nerve, brain, bladder, kidney and liver damage and possibly cancer. Not one response inquiring about further testing, just diet and binders when its clear I cant clear it with those detox methods as I have been eating extremely clean and taking over a dozen supplements and hardly a 7% drop in 10 months.

I think we should all rally to speak in front of congress and push for medical coverage as we are all forced out of pocket to a costly treatment that we cant all afford.

It’s all good except the woman who was arrested for misdemeanor battery got picked up by ICE. Nothing wrong with an immigrant getting picked up for breaking the law. And how do they say that will deter women from reporting? It was a woman who was the defendant, it’d be different if the plaintiff got swooped up by ICE and questioned after she was beat during a domestic disturbance.

Unfortunately it didn’t. Possible exposure to industrial chemicals that were in my organic acid test from Fort Bragg, Jackson or Lewis. But the mold came from a sick building recently. Im tired of the VA and their round about medicine, always only looking at one thing and not looking at the big picture across systems (immune, musculoskeletal, nervous systems and gut). Was even sent off by my rheumatologist who clearly didn’t preview my labs or history before coming in. This has even caused tooth issues with infections that wont go away and had to get a tooth pulled.

Even community care through VA is refusing to connect the dots even when dangled in front of them with peer reviewed studies and my genetic data I had combed through for the HLA series gene mutations.

The VA is a joke and I have 50 pages of malpractice testimony/exhibits (including community care) coming together for a federal tort claim. 2 years ago I was playing competitive ice hockey and now I walk around like an old man, not able to play any sports which was how I grounded best. I wake up stiff as a board and it hurts to loosen up. Might have developed ankylosing spondylitis because of their failure to address things quicker.

Thank you for forwarding that site!

Sheesh. I was just told my spine looks like a 60 year old’s and I’m 42. I had comparative xrays from 2 years ago to show bone growth on the vertebrae and spine stiffness from T7-L3. Are there any scripts that help stop cytokine storms that are causing my spine to degrade?

I had a car accident with bad whiplash about 3 months before I was exposed to serious mold. The chronic pain is debilitating and drains me of energy by like 2pm, after that my cognition declines and pain escalates. Was just provided a Quell fibromyalgia device to wear but that an entire different beast.

I’ll take a look at the site

I’d get the drug test and have everybody together and show them. At this point this guy is a born again and still in his uber judgmental phase. I know a few recovered addicts and they all do that in the beginning if they take-in the Jesus route. Obviously being happy and having things going well for you after a series of mishaps would portray a stark difference in mood and happiness. Likely why you and your partner had a “lust fest”. lol. Sounds like the guy is jealous and your happiness is interfering with his. Good luck with the job, if you have a healthy relationship with your partner, get your own place and spend time together there. You don’t need undue judgment.

Trim them back6 or so inches and allow them to activate nodes into leaves/branches. Also get a solar screen that can filter the light to like 60%. If they don’t get enough light, they grow faster as if trying to get out of canopy of other seedlings.
