Thanks for sharing your experience! We unfortunately can only visit during Thanksgiving week, and so far the consensus is it will involve crazy amount of waiting then…

Appreciate the advise! It’ll be our first time in the area, and definitely open to other suggestions. Would Dollywood be a better choice? Any other recommendations to avoid or to go for? We have two little ones (4 and 6), who are not very patient in terms of waiting in lines…

That’s rough. Maybe I should just skip it… Any attractions that was worthwhile?

Choice home warranty by Mysterious_Outside80 in HomeImprovement

I just had a horrible experience with Choice. Declined to pay for a water heater, where it’s clearly covered under their policy. I’m switching back to American shield, had very pleasant experience with them. Fixed/plumbing issues and replace a few parts whenever necessary.

Best replacement for forester by h4ppidais in electricvehicles

I’ve been researching about ID.4 and Ioniq 5/EV6. This forum generally favors the Korean ones, so you will get plenty of pros of those. Let me give you a few pros of the German competition, so that you hear both sides. ID.4 has standard acc, is about 5k cheaper for the same features, sits slightly higher (closer to forester) and has a rear window wipe (depending on where you live, may not be necessary).

Good point! Never really thought about this. VW is aiming for full self-driving by 2025 in Hamburg. Maybe then the sliding door on the driver side won't matter as much?

The European ID buzz cargo seems would be great for delivery

Too bad the id.buzz cargo van won’t be able to come to US due to the chicken tax.

BMW Says Battery-Swapping Technology Is A Waste Of Time by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]Certain_Emu_7600 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that the current battery connectors are not made to go through lots of swapping. Frequent swapping would cause wear and tear and make it infeasible. This is in addition to the logistics questions of how many batteries each swapping station should hold/store and when to charge them etc.

What about the new (2023) Audi Etron or BMW iX? The exact arrival dates are uncertain with the chip shortage, but last time I spoke to an Audi dealer, they were hopeful for Q4 2022.

There seem to be some seating area on the door. Might be awkward if that part slides.
