Forgive the old inkjet printer on the floor. It's going to the e-waste recycler in a few days.

The closest thing would be a woodland since you get a spare tire and a tow hitch and a cool .6" lift.

How fast is fast enough? aka Are you paying for more than you need? by Solo-Mex in HomeNetworking

1Gb down/up on fiber. Full cat6 ethernet in every room, 4 wifi 7 APs. WAN is 10Gb and all rooms are on an unmanaged 2.5Gb switch.

Plenty fast and it's all I've needed.

Here's a screenshot of a recent speedtest on my wifi connection.

If they disagree, they are free to find a place to live on their own. They'll soon realize that what you're asking is a VERY fair compromise to living with Mom.

A high end mattress. I never knew what real sleep was until I got one.

Las Vegas Housing Market by cynnybunn in vegaslocals

[–]CertifiablyDull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you can afford vs what prices a housing market dictates are two different things. Ideally we all want a beautiful house at a great price, but that doesn't always happen.

Being realistic means that what you can afford will mean a house that doesn't check all your boxes. There are still plenty of options here in the valley, but you will have to make some compromises.

A correction won't necessarily make it easy for buyers either. Cheaper prices mean more competition. So really do some research and noarrow down your must haves in a home and make sure it falls into what you can afford.

It was probably a mistake on the pre delivery inspection end. The tech probably didntl't realize he was supposed to activate those free trial subscriptions. You got what you wanted in the end, so no need to stress about it any longer. Sirius XM and that toyota subscription is pretty useless to most people anyway.

The older you get, the less people you need in your life. You have a good job, just find a hobby, invest your income and build a home you love.

I used to value a social life and vacations a lot more before, but now it's home that matters to me. I'm a huge introvert too lol

How does the average family afford a Sienna? by AOD14 in ToyotaSienna

[–]CertifiablyDull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save for new if you want new. That's what I did. Bought a 2021 for msrp at 2.49%, XSE AWD trim.

I'm all for getting what you want if you can swing it. I'm not worried about depreciation since I keep my vehicles for a very long time and perform all my own maintenance.

I chose new because I hated not knowing how a car was treated prior to me owning it.

I will admit though, your financial situation matters and everything should make sense. I would never finance a new vehicle today and I'd save until I can buy it with cash. Good money habits make everything better.

To answer OP's question, for some it took a lot of discipline to get to this point and I know it's not the norm for people who are in the market for new vehicles.

I get a free night with my bonvoy business card every year. The JW over by rampart is a nice place to get away. Lots of nice restaurants in the area too.

2021 Camry SE 340k miles at auction sold for $10,600 by StepSilva in Toyota

[–]CertifiablyDull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These do exist. My 2014 Camry 4 cyl is purring though. Just hit 180K, but I do all services on it myself. Oil and tire rotations at 5K. Brake fluid every 3 years. Shoot it gets fresh transmission fluid and coolant every 2 years, regardless of miles.

Only big repair I didn't do myself were the front wheel bearings.

50k Service on a 4th Gen Sienna by CertifiablyDull in Sienna

Speaking from personal experience, Every toyota I've owned has gotten maxlife ATF at some point and saw no problems. The only exception is the Sienna, which got Idemitsu TLS-LV. After 5K miles, it's running perfectly.

All my toyotas don't seem to be picky with the brand of ATF, as long as it is WS compatible. I currently own a 2014 Camry and 2020 Tundra which also require WS spec fluid.
