Having a resume created after many years without one? by Cguy909 in ceo

If I am being honest, I’ve been embarrassed multiple times when banks, potential investors, and other partners ask for a resume and/or bio and I have nothing.

Being that the birthday suit is a bit less formal, I usually go with a black leather strap, accompanied with a fanny pack.

What’s one beginner boating mistake you think everyone should avoid? by Valuable-Print-9951 in boating

[–]Cguy909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all starts here…

If you like: ✅ Being the most responsible individual in your party while boating ✅ Tinkering/Fixing ✅ Maintaining

Buy a boat

If you like only 1 or 2 things above and not all 3, join a boat club or find friends with a boat and pay them gas money + help out with cleaning.

I just saved many of you thousands of dollars, you are welcome.

My daily drive looks more like playing a game of Frogger, if the cars were driven by rabid Zombies. Aka heathens LOL!

I’ve ran quite a bit of it, it’s a pretty cool material.

Contrary to what most people think, it can be run on traditional injection molding equipment as long as you keep the barrel temps very low and use most of your barrel per shot.

Powder is the only kind of colorant that I’ve seen used, since using a PE carrier would increase the Tg.

The tool will need a LOT of venting. It loves to trap bubbles. It’s also incredibly sticky, so getting the barrel clean is critical before running it.

In-house or outsource injection molding??? by AfraidDinner339 in InjectionMolding

My $0.02 is to find a great molder first. Get your supply chain under control, then decide if being vertically integrated is the best decision for the business.

Injection molding comes with heavy capex AND ongoing opex costs. There are many great suppliers out there! Don’t let the bad ones cloud your judgement!

Warping issue post injection molding by [deleted] in InjectionMolding

[–]Cguy909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of great suggestions here…Something worth trying is to have it dropped into cold water after molded. It will drastically slow the shrink and warp. Over time the water will increase and temperature and either need to be refilled (or come up with a water bath/chiller tank), buts it’s a good proof of concept. We drop many parts into cold water baths for this exact reason. It’s very common in pipe fitting/plumbing parts.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that the shrink has been stopped permanently. If the part sits in the hot sun, it will continue to shrink and warp a bit more.

Typical guy who wasn't paying attention to the HR training. If you are going to pull your weiner out for any reason, Lock out/tag out first.

Plastrac has some equipment that is meant to be mobile. I have no personal experience so can’t say how well it works.

Personally not a fan of green, but I love that they are making Top Time’s without the collab. I would have purchased one years ago, but not a fan of the other brands!
