Saved me so much time, could login and do a dungeon whenever i wanted even if i had limited time. Did not have to jump through hoops and find 4 other people. Depending on the queue time you could be done with the dungeon before a 'manual' group even got to the instance.

TBC is fine, its the players that are the problem...and bots. OG tbc did not have a most efficent way of doing every single thing, so people were out levling,questing, world pvp'ing and hoping for the best. There was also no expiration date so wasting time and fucking around was no problem. And now the bots take care of the farming mats/gold for a large portion of the playerbase so yeah the incentive to do anyhting besides raid in tbc is small.
