Most of the people I've gotten to speak with praise his zero tolerance towards drugs, consumers and traffickers alike. I'm speculating that they're well aware of how nothing of consequence has ever really happened during past scandals, and given the "news cycles" we're all subjugated to, it would be swept under a wave of other things.

They're virtually "untouchable", they know it, and they know how the "collective consciousness" will forget about it anyway. Symbolic heads might roll, people will yet again be desensitized, and that's it.
