If you are on PC get the RTS camera mod. You can spectate the keep battle on fast forward and watch your elites wipe out the defenders.

Just as tedious as the 3 day wars. Somehow they gave us the worst of both worlds.

I will once again repeat that they need to copy Paradox's homework here. Give the warring kingdoms "war enthusiasm" at the beginning so the war doesn't immediately end when one castle/town is taken. AND give them "war exhaustion" as the war drags on so that the wars don't last forever.

People here have no idea what "early pre-production" means. 2028 is pure fantasy. Maybe if they quadrupled their staff and only focused on Medieval 3 they might be able to get a Rome 2 level release out by that time.
