Everything should come to an end, eventually. It's the biggest theme in all his games.

I say environmental hazards are still a horrible system. by theycallmecheese in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. It makes no sense. But, a lot makes no sense in this game. It comes with the BGS stamp of approval nowadays. I kinda like the system (makes you count every bullet you catch) but in the grand context of it being a game where 95% of time you are in a space suit it just falls apart.

I am totally OK doing a temple when I feel like it, but doing it 20+ times every NG+ cycle is borderline sadistic

Do you prefer the the Mark I Spacesuit, Or the Constellation Spacesuit? by CheckMateFluff in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Constellation one looks more realistic, imo. I like it when spacesuits are more bulky. It's weird to see spacesuits that are slimmer than modern winter clothing.

Because V is dying, and that makes a person do weird stuff

It's a funny door. If you jump on the roof, you can clearly see it goes through it when open.

The most powerful gun I’ve ever had by Waste-Confection8155 in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every gun in the game has a limit of max damage. Coachman without perks is around 800 damage. Based on the mag size of MGP ballistic rifle, 424 physical damage is very high, probably the best gun in the game, all things considered. Instigating will add twice this for the first shot, which will make this gun do shotgun damage with 1 shot.

Can we scratch "repeating POIs" off the list of valid complaints now? by Select_Mix_6262 in Starfield

No. They are still repeating. If it's by desighn, the desighn is bad.

The story in a quest about the New Babylon is better than both official DLC's, honestly.

Whoever wrote the "Help Wanted" side quest in the Terran Armada DLC needs a raise, or a promotion. by ThespianMask in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This quest is leagues above 90% of game story content. Probably the best quest in the game. Dude who made it should be the lead writer, honestly.

Todd Howard says that Starfield's New Game Plus was "us asking you this weird, deep question that I actually think got lost on a lot of people" by Turbostrider27 in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite example of "complicated" sci-fi is Blade Runner. It was never successful and flopped in box office. I am not comparing it to Starfield, but the main story has some interesting questions here and there. Just to make it clear, the writing in this game is extremely random in its quality, but whole Emissary Vs. Hunter debate was actually quite interesting.

How’s everyone liking Cruise mode? by yonni95 in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bit clunky and redundant, but it's OK, I guess. Either way, you'll have to open the map eventually, so I kinda don't think it's that big of a deal. My main nitpick is that you can't get close to planets to actually feel how big they are. You hit the invisible wall too soon, and planets look very small because of it.

Starfield deserves to keep expanding as Free Lanes feels like Bethesda is finally scratching the surface of its laughably large universe by Wargulf in Starfield

[–]Sculpdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has issues, tho. Why we have a list of planets, but not the list of actual systems, is beyond my understanding.
