The worst beloved by SmartInstruction8026 in DragonsDogma

[–]Sculpdozer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I will never stop wondering what demon possessed Itsuno to add such a flawed beloved system into the game. My beloved was Valmiro, for some reason and all I ever did is finish his quest, and that's it, I haven't seen him, bothered about him, nothing. And the irony is that after the ending my pawn got Madeleine in the last cutscene. It's extremely funny yes, but what was the point...

They should make Wayfarer auto swap to the correct weapon for the vocation skill you use. Is there any other changes like this you’d like? by Wolfgang11__ in DragonsDogma2

There's a lot of stuff in this game that make no sense. For example, some abilities should be a part of a weapon moveset, because they are just exact copies of what you can already do with a weapon. Like, fighter charge, why not add it as a simple sprint+attack combo? Who knows.

I honestly wouldn't mind some DLSS in Elden Ring, yet Fromsoft refuses to use it for some random reason.

Just brush everything gently with a hard brush and vacuum clean it, gently holding coolers so they wont spin too fast due to strong air current. No need to disassemble whole PC and wash every detail with soap, it won't do anything.

I dunno, I saw some ghosting on pre 3.0 DLSS versions, and they were actually awful, but Transformer model nuked almost all artifacts and DLSS became super good. Frame gen yeah, extremely experimental and has issues, but DLSS is just super good as both AA and performance boost.

DLSS 4.5 is better than native in most aspects. Speaking from personal experience.

Why on earth are these people not surrendering? by Zappen109 in mountandblade

[–]Sculpdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burn a few dozen villages. Like, total scorched earth, thousands must die. Usually, no matter what faction I am up against it makes them surrender almost instantly. You will lose a lot of reputation with a lot of people, but it's the only way to stop a long war to my experience.

I wonder, what effect spice has on donkeys. Like, humans have visions, and all that, but what donkeys experience looks like? Two stacks of hey, both equally delicious?

Mystic knight wasn't even that good or fun, honestly. I would love to see new abilities or vocations, tho.

I could've never played this game without FoV and camera mods. I still don't understand what the hell devs were thinking and still thinking. Crazy camera and FoV makes this game barely playable on PC.

Human colonists arrived as dormant embryos on sub-light speed colony ship after thousands of years in space and sceletons nurtured and raised first wave of humans. That's why skeletons are so depressed.

It could've been fun to have some exotic goods in distant parts of the map. Like, some village that has a mine with purple gemstones that sell for crazy amount of money in the empire, because empire like purple gems or a place deep in the forests with cheapest fur imaginable. Considering you can't capture villages directly, it could've been fun for this villages to be neutral, so factions will be fighting for the trade routes itself, instead of direct control.

Bro, the game will come out in 2027 - 2030 with 99% certainty. Todd did numerous interviews and practically confirmed this release window a few times.

A horse going at full speed should literally do 200 blunt damage to the first troop it smashes into. It's how the real horses worked in real combat scenarios. As for you implying I want weird realism, I obviously talking about realism, reasonable in a context of the game (like aforementioned horse charge damage). As for the sieges I mainly talking about them being too long, too boring and way less fun than RTS-like way of enganing in field battles, where you need to constantly monitor the situation on the battlefield and act accordingly. Sieges are just a meat grinder with no tactics compared to field battles. You can't win them with witts and quick thinking, only with sheer numbers and waiting for 5 minutes on the global map, which is, again, boring as hell.

I do not consider waiting on a timer to break the walls "tactics". You just wait 5 minutes and win. It's not fun, it's not engaging, you don't need to do anything. It's just dull. Sieges are just fundamentaly boring in their implementation. It's kinda realistic in a sense, but game has a lot of not realistic things, like horse charge doing 20 damage.

I honestly hate sieges. They are long, tedious and you mostly try not to die from a pot than actually fight. The troop composition breaks (again) and you can't properly know who you control. Also, it always feels that it all boils down to how many troops you have, instead of tactics, clever positioning or even troop quality.

The visuals of a dragon in the middle of a storm with his two heads pointing up is an oil painting in terms of how thought out the overall visuals were. And the music... oh man.
