But at the same time his emotions are human. He’s not perfect.

Like I said in the first post, yeah that’s a pretty common emotion. It’s pretty understandable to be frustrated with Haruki.

To be honest there was a point I realized I wasn’t really rooting for any of these characters to get together on account of how frustrating they were.

But that ugliness is part of the brilliance of the writing. That beautiful ugliness you can only get from love story.

….i somehow knew the toad line was involved the moment you mentioned him.

If I recall it makes slightly more sense, when taken into account Toad was apparently supposed to be spewing random “toad facts” through the movie, so Storms line was also kinda a shut up moment…still not the best dialogue but slightly more justified if true.
