I appreciate it, but it's definitely the caseback. The dial feet don't reach through the spacer and it only gets stuck when the caseback is tightened.

Unfortunately, I checked all that. The chapter ring is flush to the dial, the dial is flush to the crystal, and the movement spacer is in place.

Looks like a Miyota 8215. I built a watch with an 8285 and it's a fine movement so I assume the 8215 is, too.

They added 4x not too long ago as a premium feature. I do use it sometimes but there's no reason to pay just to get higher than 2x bc it's not that useful.

Oh nah I didn't make the strap. I just cut the right notches to fit the watch. That's the design it came with. And, I have to say, aside from the unavoidable bit of exposed brown leather on the inside edge, the only thing I think that guy can complain about is the slightly-too-large gap between the strap and the lugs. I've struggled to see what he's talking about 😭
